I am a 53 year old disabled person with cancer also with a handicap daughter ,on Sept 26th I brought my car to **** auto along with a fuel pump and fuel filter I needed installed as I am a mechanic but did not have a place to work on it I told the owner I just wanted the pump and filter installed when I went to pick the car up I was told the bill was 963$ I argued with the owner explaining I only wanted the part installed and i didn't ask for anything else to be done they replaced several other parts on the vehicle and thats why the bill was so much ,I reluctantly paid and took my vehicle home the next day I was driving to Lewistown and the car broke down 25 miles from the shop I called a tow truck to take me to another garage and then called **** auto and was told that **** would fix it for me and come get the car I told *** that I wasn't going to pay his shop anymore money and *** told me that he wanted the chance to make it right and it would not cost me anything I asked several times to make sure that he would not charge me and he assured me it wouldn't cost me anything I also stated that if it did need parts to talk to me first because I would not put anymore money into the car he assured me again it wouldn't cost anything ,almost 3 months later after calling at least twice a week the car was fixed and I could come get it but it would be 750$ to get it I argued with him again and told him I wasn't paying and I would see him in court and I was told it would cost an additional 50$ a day storage for a week then 75$ per day after that not only was I charged for services I didn't ask for now I'm being charged to have him fix whatever the shop caused in the first place this business should not be able to serve the public they are dishonest and are cheating the public out of there hard earned dollars.

******************* brought his car to use with his own parts that he wanted installed. We installed the parts, and it did not fix the problem. There is multiple problems wrong with this car.  ******************* had a trip out of town and broke down.  We towed him back into town free of charge.  We had to take the car to a dealership to get diagnostics done on it.  We got the report and brought the car back and fixed what the diagnostics stated. Still did not fix the problem.  Took back to get diagnostics done and it was the same problem as before. We had the dealership put the part in and the car ran fine.  It needs to be a factory part to run correctly.  Called ******************* to let him know that his car was done finally. We charged him just the expenses that we had tied up at the dealership.   He stated that he was not paying them and that he was going to fight it.  I let him know after 7 days that storage would be kicking in and he stated that he was not paying a dime.  So here we are.

My car was stalling in traffic at red lights and would die if I didnt put it in park or neutral to keep it going. I called and explained the situation. Jims made time for me and even gave me a ride home since it was snowing. I was told it was a downpipe and they would put the pipe on and charge me labor. They even let me order the part myself. After picking up my vehicle the owner said that the car needed a ****** asked him if he had seen the car and if he was sure he said yes he had seen the car and was sure. I scheduled an appointment with the understanding that the part would resolve the issue. They say they put a knock sensor on and I took the car home and it ran worse than before. I called to let them know. They said they would put the *** on there and go from there. It took a few days after they picked my car up from my apartment and charged me the tow fee, I was called and said the cam was put on, when I asked if the check engine light was off and if it was running right she said no because one of the other mechanics said that the Mass air flow sensor needed to be replaced and that was really the issue and that would solve the problem. They changed that part and the car ran the same. I was in the middle of moving and said that I had to get going. I then went to the shop after I moved to talk to the owner who told me that I ****** him off and needed to leave because he wasnt giving me my money back or correcting the issue even though they have a warranty on labor. He said that I needed to leave. When I told him that so would dispute the charges he told me he would force me to go to 3 other mechanics and see me in court. He owes me for parts and labor that never needed to be put on my car and a warranty on labor he didnt fulfil.

I had *** at Jim's Auto Repair install a new clutch. I paid $900, with the aid of a local church. I also had other repairs done that he allowed me to make payments on. I paid everything off. A few months after the clutch was installed, I couldn't shift it into gear. I brought it back to ***** and told him the problem. He asked me,"Didn't we just install that?" He then told me he would fix, that it wouldn't coste anything, because it was under warranty, and he must have gotten a defective part. I left the Jeep with him to fix the clutch. He had it for 3 months. When I would call about it, he gave me excuses of his mechanics had COVID, or they didn't show up. Luckily, I was using a friend's car but she needed it back. I told him if he couldn't get it fixed, I would have it towed elsewhere and send him a ****. When he finally notified me it was ready, that's all he said. I get down there and he informed me it wasn't the clutch but it was something else and I now owed him $1200. I never authorized any other repairs, nor did he ever ask me if he could do them. Legally he couldn't charge me or keep my Jeep from me but I didn't know that at the time. He agreed to let me make payments if I came up with several hundred dollars. I was unable to make payments for a few months because I wasn't working, but I messaged that I would be in when I got paid. I did mix up the dates and had a few issues come up that I didn't call about. He repossessed it from my workplace and now wants an additional $800 in fees. I contacted them and asked if I paid the balance of the ****. 850, would he waive the charges. He and ***** his office person said if I brought $850 in cash, I could have my Jeep. I gave **** the 820, and was going to have her charge the 30, she put it in her pocket, never offered a receipt and I was told I could have it when I paid the fees. This situation still may cost me my job and businesses who operate this way shouldn't have licenses.
