viralhog gets permission to protect videos after they have allready been publicly shared with permission to be reshared. they then go to each user to shared it before the owner sold rights to it and extort money from users who unknowingly reshared the content.instagram posts a warning to the user that their content is being posted with settings allowing it to be reshared buut the users still claim exclusive rights to the material. the settings to allow resharing and remixing is easily changed in user settings. but its left on to trick users into sharing in order to extort money from users. there are many public complaints about this companies unethical practices and I would like their buisness to be shut down permentantly.

After reviewing the case, we determined that this person used ViralHog's IP without authorization and, as a result, faced legitimate legal action in the form of DMCA takedowns.

This person has been complaining to our rights management department, but this does not constitute a mutual business relationship.

We will provide details about this case as it pertains to business functions and copyright law:

All settlements related to this matter have been conducted in accordance with DMCA protocols.

The individual voluntarily agreed to settle the claims.

The individual then claimed that we enabled remixes on Instagram for the sole purpose of issuing DMCA takedowns. That is false.

In this case, the individual used a "remix" of content that is owned by ViralHog, but it was done via the post(s) of another party that also posted without authorization. As part of our rights management responsibilities, our team issued a DMCA takedown for the unauthorized use of those posts. We are committed to upholding our obligations to protect our client's intellectual property.

The individual has requested a refund for the settlement based on the mistaken belief that ViralHog authorized the remixes. We have documentation confirming that he agreed to delete the videos in question as part of the settlement that he agreed to. Though not required, our rights management department listened to his appeal, but he never provided any evidence to us.

We take our responsibility to protect intellectual property seriously. We have acted in good faith throughout this process, offering a fair resolution to the individual, while fulfilling our legal duty to protect our client's IP.

Waste of time and energy. Their recruiter came to me after seeing my video on ********* After seeing the video they had me sign a contract and fill out all their forms. They then email me back saying they will not pay me for the video because it is to low of quality. If it was too low of quality why did your recruiter even approach me for the video. I'm sure viralhog will comment back with some lame excuse. But don't waste my time. Now you have my personal information that I have no idea what you will do with. When they realized the lame corporate responses weren't working on me in email, just sent me their legal office email. Half tempted to waste my lawyers time with their sorry excuse of a company

We are sorry that we were unable to represent your video. However, ViralHog can only work with original video footage which is captured in high definition. Unfortunately, our research team cannot determine the original quality that exists on a potential client's device from a social media post. So, to verify the resolution, the potential client uploads the original to our server and we review the resolution. In this case, the video uploaded was too low of a resolution to be sold. As soon as we realized that the resolution was too low, we notified the client of this fact and to avoid any confusion confirmed that we released any claim we might have had to the footage. In addition, because the video was something that could be filmed again, we let the client know that if they captured the video in high definition we would be able to enter into a contract with them to represent the video. We take peoples privacy seriously and have removed any personal information transmitted to ViralHog in connection with this potential transaction.
