            Paid Morales Construction $1,750 up front contract (50%) of cost on 3-28-22--to dig out old window well, install drain (not done), install new window well, back fill with pea gravel (not done), 6" top soil. We purchased and shipped own new window ***** x4. Exact instructions given prior to installation provided by the company on how these needed to be installed to not damage them, spaced properly and how they had to be backfilled. He read over these prior to signing contract and agreed to this. 4 window ***** (Stonewell Egress *****) with shipping cost to us: Total ******* ($1150.00 each + ******* shipping). In mid-April 2022, Javiar Morales (owner) and crew began job (quoted us cost of $3500 total). After he excavated, removed old *****, installed new ones (did not spread these out to proper dimensions, so lids did not fit properly (2 inches off on each side), he bolted them to the house like this. After he installed them, noted bulging, deformed. Brought to Javiar's attention. Contacted EgressWindows.com (who we ordered window ***** from--he stated didn't look like they were installed properly. Found out Javiar had backfilled them with dirt, compacted them with machine (manufacturer instructions explicitly told to by hand using pea gravel backfill). Told Javiar these needed to be fixed and redug-- stated he had another job to do and left everything undone, not completed. In addition to this, severely damaged irrigation/sprinkler system. Following this, Kunda Scenic Landscapes repaired irrigation systems he'd damaged, costing us $2135.00-- (May 19 & 23, 2022) Another construction *** in ********************************* **** redug out window ***** improperly installed (10-27-22 start date), removed excess dirt, rebolted window ***** ~ 2" wider each side, and filled properly. Cost $18K.5-24-22, Javiar Morales stated to me he wanted a letter stating a release of liability emailed to him (not done).
