This customer had damage on her right or passenger side and came to us for repairs.  We scheduled her in and started on the repairs on the passenger side.  The vehicle was pulled outside before moving it to eh paint room and the owner came in.  Out tech was nearby and she asked him why aren't you doing damage on the driver's side and the tailgate.  We told her that the damage on those parts of the vehicle were not on the claim with insurance.  She started bawling and then came into the office bawling.  She said to get that tech out of the way and she never wanted to see him again.  The tech had just stepped in the office.  He told me what she said and I asked her next if that was part of damage from this accident and she said no it wasn't.  I advised her then that the insurance would not pay for repairs on those parts.  Then she took me outside and showed me what damage she was talking about.  She pointed out spots on the driver's fender, rear door and hatch where she had dabbed in paint on damaged areas and it didn't quite match and it was raised and one could see that it was dabbed in.  She asked what it would cost to do that damage.  I went in and made an estimate.  I gave her a price of $1900.00.  She then agreed to pay that.  So, we moved forward and repaired those spots that she had pointed out.  We finished  painting and got it done and called her.  She came in and then pointed out some other chips on her hatch which we were not asked to do in the estimate of $1900.00 plus she then said there were some small wavy bumps under the top tailgate part that we had painted.  She insisted they were not there before and started her bawling act again.  Our tech wasn't aware of them being there, but we didn't do anything to the tailgate there.  BUT I AGREED to take to a *** (paintless dent repairman) to take those dents out.  As far as the other chips on the tailgate,l I said we would repair them and repaint that part of the tailgate.  I did tell her that we would have to order the nameplates this time as they are single letters and we can not retape them on, so it would cost a little more to her.  In other words, ** was offering to repay for the additional chips to be repaired and repaint the tailgate and have the *** tech remove those other dents.  We got that done and called her and she lived a block and a half away from our shop, but again she asked that we pick her up and bring her to our shop.  We had already done this every time she came to shop.  So, she came in very late in the day, around 4:45.  She came in the agreed to p ay and I told her it was now $2,000.00.  She immediately refused to pay anything extra, and I again explained about the nameplates that we had to order.  So, she said she was calling the cops.  She got on the phone and went outside our door and stood there on the phone.  We asked her what she was doing and she said she was calling the cops but they are busy.  At 5:10 or so we said we were having to leave, as our tech was here and we had places to go.  She would not say she was coming in to pay and get the car, lso I asked our tech to move the vehicle from the outside of our shop and put it inside, as we were all needing to leave.  As the tech took the car around the corner where she was standing, she tried to step in front of her car and have our tech hit her.  Luckily he was able to jerk the car and didn't hit her.  Then after parking her car, she said she would pay and wanted to come inside.  She came in and then instead of paying, she argued about it.  We told her to pay or leave.  She would not leave.  So, we called the cops.  A cop showed up right away and told her to pay or leave.  She had a bill of $2,000.00 and $3,079.00 or a few cents different.  She was poaid by the insurance company on that claim.  She said she wasn't paid by them and she was refusing to pay.  The cop told her to pay or leave.  She then gave me $1200.00 cash and a credit card to pay the rest.  I asked the cop what we would do if she tried to cancel the credit card payment.  The cop told her the first thousand would be a felony, and the second would be a felony and so would the third.  All separate felonies.  Then we got the car out.  The tech left as he had to pick up his partner from her work place and my husband and I got out of the shop and into the car and saw her in her vehicle sitting  on the street right by our shjop.  I drove around the corner and parked and watched and she would not leave.  Then I called the tech back who had picked up his partner and he came down to the shop.  He told me to leave and he would stay and watch what she was doing.  She was there for one hour and 15 minutes.  We thought maybe she would come up to the office and break the windows or something else.  There was no reason for her to stay there that long.  Our tech left after she left.  There was also mention of the ***** emblem on the tailgate being damaged by us.  It had a crack on it when it came in.  Our tech noticed it and pointed it out.  But, lbeing a generous person, I ordered that emblem to put on her vehicle.  We went to her place a couple times to put it on and she was leaving.  Then it got very cold and we couldn't put it on when the vehicle was outside.  So, we have that emblem and it hasn't been put on.  I can not mention how much bawling she did when she came to pick up the vehicle that day at 4:45 and when the cop was here.  She insists that she was not paid by her insurance company for their claimm, lbut they told me she was paid.  I have never encountered a customer quite like this one in the 40 years we have been in business.

    Complaint: 18724852

I did want to state that the business replied but they didn't reply to the issues in my complaint. It seems their reply was to put me down and say that I was crying in hysterical and that she's never had a customer like me but they failed to address the fact that the hood won't shut properly the fact that the right rear area over the wheel the scratched and they were supposed to submit or submit the details to the insurance company which they never did they did a different additional damage to the back of my car and they still have my emblem which they have not addressed how they are going to get me the emblem. I was intimidated by them and do not feel comfortable going in that business on my own and I have nobody here so my resolution to the emblem is they could mail it to me. They have my address they have my phone number they have neither contacted me in in either way. So what I am left with is taking them to small claims court which is what I plan on doing.
    Thank you for your time.
    Sincerely, ***************************
