- Additional Info:The Nifty Place is a specialty retail shop located in the warm and friendly Town of Burgaw in southeastern North Carolina. Owners Chris and Jennifer Walker make "nifty" and high-quality items available for their friends and neighbors as well as visitors to their store and web site. Chris is a native of Wilmington, NC, but his ancestors helped establish both Burgaw and Pender County. Jennifer is a native of Smithfield, NC and has lived in the area all of her life. Both are saddened to see locals forced to drive 30 miles or more to other towns when they want something a little more than ordinary. The Nifty Place specializes in handmade, all-natural products made in North Carolina or elsewhere in the USA, usually by individuals or small companies. Our goal is to treat you like the special person you are! Come see us! You will love our cozy shop, our relaxed atmosphere, and our great products. Step up on our shady front porch and try out the most comfortable hanging chair ever made. You never know... Chris might have some special coffee brewing or something nifty on the grill!!
