Tryon Medical owes me $266 for a patient refund as a result to them coding incorrectly and the refund is money I have already spent on a bill I should not have paid. Since Aug. 13, 2024 I have been trying to obtain the patient refund with the billing department. I have sent numerous emails and phone calls requesting a manager to call me and the have ignored all requests. On Oct. 17, 2024, **** with the billing department responded that check #***** for $226.50 dated 10/10/24 was sent to me. To date 11/11/24, I have not received a check. I have request for them to re issue or offered to come by and pick it up, they have ignored all requests. This is money that is owed to me and they have the worse customer service, they ignore their patients and do not care.

I am rejecting this response because:the check number they referenced ********************************** on 10/10/24. However, I never received, they ignored my request via email and request for manager to call me. Then 2 days ago, stated the date was incorrect and that same check number ***** was being sent to me over 30 days from when the claim they mailed it. In their response to me, they do not report any issues with the mail or that it was returned to sender and verified my address. They blamed it on the date! Which proves, they never mailed it as stated on 10/10/24 and to date 11/18/24, Ive yet to receive. They have been dishonest and I see my provider today and will make her aware of their unethical behavior and unprofessional, lack of customer service.
Im asking you for assistance in assuring I receive my patient refund check within the next week. For now, this matter has not been resolved.
    Thank you,

Tryon Medical Partners Ballantyne uses predatory methods to extort money for canceled appointments. I have rescheduled my appointment on the phone, the person did not cancel the previous appointment, and now Tryon Medical Partners Ballantyne is sending me cancellation notice 2 days after my original appointment and me charging me 50 USD.They are pushy, passive-aggressive in their communication, and just absolutely unpleasant. I have not even seen the doctor yet, but I already want nothing to do with this practice because of how disrespectful and predatory they are.

I recently moved to ********* and needed to find a physician to specifically refill my medications. Tryon Medical Practice affiliated with ****** is near me so I made an appointment with one of the doctors that was accepting new patients *******************. I had my appointment and she took all my medical information performed a cursory check up and had my labs done. She sent orders in for a mammogram and podiatrist referral. She was also sending my refills to the pharmacy. She never did anything. No mammogram No podiatrist referral and No refills. Two weeks later Tryon sent me a letter informing me that ******************** retired. Retiring doctor accepting new patients? Now I am out of medication and Tryon will not refill my meds unless I go through another appointment with a new doctor. They have my records, my labs and all my vitals from my appointment but refuse to refill my medications until I have (and pay for) another appointment. STAY AWAY FROM TRYON ******!

I am quite dismayed by the lack of follow-up from the doctor via the patient portal and through timely responses regarding a complaint I submitted. On 07/10/24 and again on 07/15/24, I contacted ************ regarding an issue arising from my visit with her on 06/18/24 but I have not received any communication from her since then. During my visit on 06/18/24, I raised concerns with ************ regarding privacy issues stemming from my previous visit on 05/31/24. She assured me that someone would contact me within a few days. Eventually (over a month), ******** called and left a message, but despite my three returned calls indicating my availability, she consistently reached out when I was at work and unable to answer. Her text message on 07/17/24 indicated she would call me the following day. I replied, requesting a call at 1:15 PM, but unfortunately, I never received that call. I am deeply disappointed by the lack of follow-up, especially considering my appointment with ************ was canceled by the office on the morning of 07/15/24.

On 6/6/24 I had a virtual consult with ************************* to discuss my labwork. She prescribed a medication to replace my synthroid which I read about that day, and the medication is frequently recalled as it is difficult to ensure that the bovine material in it is consistent. She also stated that she would see a thyroid expert that weekend, was flying out, and would confer about my case. I noted in ****** that I did not want that medicine and I did not pick it up.On Monday 6/10 I received a call from Dr. **J's nurse, who stated Dr. **J wanted to speak with me that day about my labwork. I stated I had just talked to her the previous Friday, but she said Dr. **J wanted to talk further about it. I asked very specifically if I would be charged again, and she said no, that it would roll right into the prior appt.I did not ask for the meeting, and the prescription change could have easily been done via phone. Her schedule did not allow consult on 6/10 but we did speak on 6/12.I am very frustrated that I am again being charged for a visit. If Dr. **J need to consult, it seems she would have done so prior to the discussion. I understand she is newer to treating thyroid patients, but I should not have to pay extra because she is learning. I left two messages for the office manager ****, and am currently on hold trying to again reach her. It's been 8 minutes, and I remain on hold. In my voice mail I asked if the tape of my conversation could be replayed, yet Tryon does not even care enough to have the manager speak to me. Like so many others, I am being overbilled by this organization. $200 bill outstanding that they remind me of via text and email multiple times daily.
