Phone: License # *****************: ************ Email: **************************** Dear Sir/*****,I am writing to file a formal complaint against **DHA Construction LLC**, ********************* a licensed contractor in **************. This complaint is regarding serious professional misconduct and financial mismanagement in a construction project.On 02/28/2022, I engaged DHA Construction LLC for a construction project at ******************************************************************* 25. The agreed-upon amount for the project was $177,000. However, the subcontractor, overseen by *************************************** of Bonding Materials LLC**, abandoned the project midway without prior notice or valid reason, after being paid. (Bank deposit receipt upon request) .Unfortunately, ************************************* failed to give us a proper receipt for the $177,000 payment made to the subcontractor. Additionally, there was no formal contract with the contractor/subcontractor, as they refused to enter into one. This has left me in a vulnerable position, significantly impacting the project's progress and financial management.Moreover, due to the subcontractors abandonment, I incurred an additional cost of $30,000 to complete the build-out, initially the responsibility of DHA Construction LLC/Bonding Materials LLC.This has caused significant financial strain and delay in the project timeline.I request the Better Business Bureau's intervention to:1. Investigate the professional conduct of DHA Construction LLC and their failure to effectively manage and oversee the subcontractor.2. Assist in obtaining a receipt for the initial $177,000 payment made to the subcontractor.3. Help in seeking reimbursement of the additional $30,000 I had to pay to finish the construction project.I trust that the BBB will take this matter seriously and assist in resolving these issues promptly.   Dear Sir/Madam. In 2/2022, ************************************************* made a verbal agreement with *************************************, who misrepresented himself as an employee of DHA Construction. I pulled a permit for a project that he wanted to complete for an acquaintance of his. DHA never entered into any written contract with Rio Body Wax, not due to any refusal on our part, but simply under the assumption that ****************** was in the process of taking care of that. During a phone call and subsequent meeting, early in May 2023, with a RIO BODYWAX general manager, it was the first that I learned that the project was nearly completed and that ***************** had gone off the grid and had failed to complete some of the work.Immediately, I attempted to get in touch with ******************, but was unable to locate him, and am still not able to locate him. The first time I spoke with ****** was later in May, 2023, which was the first time I learned of the financial situation and financial mismanagement by ****************** and his lack of payment to subcontractors that he had asked to do work. ****** asked me if I typically worked with a contract, which I do. ****** has repeatedly asked me for receipts of payments to the subcontractors, which I do not possess, nor do I have any access to. DHA was not paid for any part of the project - all payments were made directly to ******************, and it is he who needs to provide receipts. We all are deeply saddened by Mr. ******** lack of professional conduct to those who entrusted him to complete the work, and I am willing to amicably do whatever is reasonable to rectify the situation and would be happy to discuss this further with ******. I did everything I could to assist Rio Body Wax in completing all the necessary punch list items and have done so at my own expense. Rio Body Wax has passed all inspections and is running as it should. Everyone at Rio Body Wax has been great to work with, and I will continue to promote the services that they offer.
