I am a veteran who was outsourced by the VA for community care, by the VA's ***. It was scheduled through a company named Optum. I am getting bills that are covered by Veterans Affairs. I have spoken to both the ************** Network customer service twice, as well as Cape Fear Valley Billing **************) twice, the last time with a three way call with *** on the call to be sure they have the correct information. The billing reference number is VA0032363801. They have been given that number by me four times, twice by phone, twice via email. The VA patient advocate has sent them that information. That information should be sent with the scheduler (Optum). I keep getting reminders for the bill to be paid. I received a bill from the lab department, and called them and it was resolved the first time. Either their billing department needs re-training or they're trying to double bill. That reference number VA0032363801 should give my appointment time/date, my name and address and that this is covered through the *** (************** Network) section of the Veterans Affairs. This should not be hard. I do not want this going to a creditor because someone needs to be re-trained in filing. If, Cape Fear Valley is trying to double bill, I do not want this going onto my credit. Either they're inept or it's on purpose. They have been explained to by multiple sources. If they say it's a computer error that's not a reason. NO doubt this happens very often.

I have been getting these emails quite a bit. I have never been to your facility, or even **************. I have called twice and was told this mistake would be taken care of, but obviously it hasn't. My email is apparently on some ones account in error. Please quit sending these emails.

01/10/2023 I took my toddler to the ** after calling her primary care and they recommended it for vomiting and diarrhea that had lasted over a week. At Cape Fears ** ********** I saw a PA who did not ask any questions about any other people being sick (myself, my husband, the babysitter, the babysitters kids) and after 5 minutes diagnosed her with an **** fissure and left. I was sure she was going to come back to talk more about what could be causing the diarrhea and vomiting but she did not. The PA said she would prescribe a medication for the nausea and vomiting and never did. Of course the symptoms continued and so I sent multiple follow up messages that were never responded to. My family paid $300 for 5 minutes of ******* time and it didnt even get to the root of the problem. I am still very upset about this and I am hoping to get an apology and I would like them to do better in the future for other peoples children.

I checked in at the Cape Fear Valley Health Pavilion North, 6380 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC on Friday, June 17, 2022 to receive my 3rd COVID19 vaccine. I had previously received both vaccine 1 and 2 from this facility with no fee. Per the CDC there is to be no fee, what so ever, associated with receiving a COVID19 vaccine. After my third vaccine I was billed $60. Upon calling to ask why there is a charge, since the vaccine is free, the lady said the medicine in the vaccine is free but not the administration. She said someone would contact me in 2-4 weeks about the charges. This charge was emailed and is showing up in my MyChart by EPIC account. Not only do I not believe the fee is legal but I also believe they may be charging other patients.

Continuity clinic. Saw PCP on January 14. Am now being told that he was not coded as my pcp so there is nothing to be done. Not the money but principle here. Copay does not apply when you are not notified but it is called surprise billing. $45. I have seen my same doctor before no problem. Now is supposedly is. Insurance they can only bill by what is given to them. cape fear say it is not their problem, but insurance company. Doctors office says it is billing s problem. I am caught in the middle.
