A ************ contract to install sod in my yard. This included prepping the soil, installing the sod, and chemical treatments. The sod looked great when they first installed it.I entered into a contract with him to come and perform aftercare for the lawn with chemical treatments, fertilizing, etc. on a prepaid plan. This meant I paid in advance for the services and he would continue to care for the lawn as needed. The lawn did not come out of dormancy after the winter season, in fact it was dead (brown) and because the contract did not include aeration for the lawn, he told me he needed to aerate the lawn, which he charged me for as it was not part of the prepaid plan. When he aerated the yard, he did not complete the job and I called him over so he could see that the yard had only been partially aerated. This is when he handed me a letter basically letting me know that he was cancelling the contract for lawn care, refunding me $83.01 of my prepaid plan because he took the money for the aerating of the lawn from the prepaid monies that was for the chemical treatments of the lawn. My lawn is a brown mess and I am out the original $1200 for the sod that didn't come back, the chemicals, and the aeration that he was supposed to complete but only did part of the yard and cancelled services when he was called out on the poor performance of his work.

****************** hired me last year to seed bare spots in her front lawn. After I spread the seeds and covered the seeds with peat **** I helped her set up her sprinklers and automatic timer. I returned two weeks later and all the sprinklers were removed. When I asked her why she stated more weeds were growing and her water bill went up $70. She then hired me to do two sod installations of her front lawn. I prepared and installed the sod. As she stated it took root and went into dormancy fine. She inquired about aeration stating that she usually gets it done and if I could do it which I told her I can. I did the aerations for her and eight other customers on 25Apr23. While doing her aeration I had to move a bench swing, a white table and two white chairs because they were within my path. She watched me do the aeration of her front yard but briefly went to the back yard as I was finishing up. After I was done completely done with her aeration and fertilizer I told her that her grass was dead and asked her if shes been watering it. I sent out a message to all my customers that they should start watering their lawn in March. ****************** said she has been watering and that she has cameras showing her watering everyday. She did not pay me when I was done with the job which she usually pays me in cash, I sent her the invoice online and she opened it but did not pay it for two weeks. ******************* and I spoke multiple times after the aeration regarding other people overseeding her lawn and getting someone to do a soil test. She called me on May 4th asking me to resod that area and another. I told her the initial price and my time line to do the project because I had other customers ahead of her. She didnt like that I couldnt get it done immediately but she was ok with it after I said that if someone canceled I squeeze her in. On May 7 ****************** text me saying I missed some spots and that the two people that were doing the overseed told her I missed spots. ******************* took two weeks to tell me that I didnt complete the job after we spoke via phone or text message multiple times and she watched me aerate her lawn. The holes and the cores start close and break down immediately. Now between 25APR23 and 7MAY23 it rained at least twice, the dry weather between the rainy days speed up the soil breakdown and close faster. I did  write a cancellation letter and refunded the remaining balance of her prepayment to include the cost of the also subtracting the cost of the aeration. I tried to resolve the issue with ****************** instead she accused me of killing her sod or not doing finishing the work two weeks later, so I unfortunately had to end our business relationship.
