My sister came in to the dealership to buy a car. The lady at the dealership and my sister called me and told me that in order for her to get the car, I would have to be the co-signer so I agreed. The next day I get a call from my mom asking me did I look at any of my sisters paperwork but I had not seen anything. They put my name on the paper as the sole owner of the car and my signature was forged on the paperwork. My name was forged on the insurance paperwork as well. This paperwork was supposedly signed by me in ************** when I am 11 hours away in ********. They put a loan that would come out to being $36000 under my name without my permission. They didnt show me any paperwork or anything. I want people to know what type of business this is. I want people to know that this is how they treat service members. On top of that, the next day that my sister was driving the car, the check engine line came on along with 4 cars so they sold her a bad car and over priced it. We were trying to explain to them that this is fraud and they would not listen so eventually we had to call the bank to get it rectified. People should know to be aware of this dealership. They dont care about service members.

On NOVEMBER 26 ,2021 Friday Afternoon I Purchased 2016 Chevrolet traverse from BROWN AUTO WORLD IN HOPE MILLS NC with $3,000 down cash payment CHRISTOPHER L***** SOLD me the Vehicle. WITH ((NO CO SIGNER ))On DECEMBER 21st 2021 I texted Mr L***** REGARDING my truck will not start at my home in my yard. On DECEMBER 22,2021 I spoke with the mechanic **** he told me they wouldn't get to my vehicle until JANUARY. They provided NO TRANSPORTATION for me to get back and forth to work . I contacted the lean holder regarding my ISSUE with browns auto world and why they haven't received my truck payment, they didn't know my truck was in the shop since DECEMBER 2021 A few days later The GENERAL MANAGER 'SCOTT F*****' called me and asked why did I contact my lean holder regarding my truck not being fixed. I told him because they calling me wanting to know why I haven't made a truck payment and I told them the truth. SCOTT asked me to come to the office to talk. I went up there he told me they brought the truck back and I don't own the 2016 Chevrolet traverse anymore , I would need a co signer to purchase another vehicle. So I asked SCOTT about my $3000 down cash payment he told me it's BROWN AUTO WORLD money now and I couldn't get it back unless I come back with a co signer. I just want my money back and I will be getting a lawyer if this issue can't be resolved.

    Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2022/11/25) */ As Mrs. ******** stated on November 26, 2021 she did purchase A Traverse with $3000 down. Just shy of one month and roughly 5000 miles later she had a starting problem. When we found this out because we believe in 100% customer satisfaction after the sale, we towed her Traverse in, took a look at it, and discovered it would need to go to the local Chevy dealership for a deeper diag our shop was not able to handle (ALL AT NO COST TO HER). The local Chevy dealership found water somehow got into the main fuse block and shorted it out. This part was on back order due to supply chain problems due to Covid. During the time it was at the local Chevy dealership we did supply Mrs. ******* with a loaner vehicle (PATHFINDER). The payment was 100% between her and her lender. Once she did not by her own admission make the payment the Traverse was reposed due to nonpayment. To give further insight, the loaner vehicle (PATHFINDER) was returned to us with roughly 5000 miles, marijuana smell, and stained up. Also when loaner was given, Mrs. ******* was told not to take it out of state but she ignored this and did anyways. We found this out later when we received toll charges and penalties from the state of Virginia. Even after she failed to honor the contract with her lender, we went above our normal practice's to keep her riding in something. We will not at this time be offering any type of refund do to losses we occurred and because of our strict no refund policy and signs posted throughout our dealership NO REFUNDS.
