I think this is the worst company I have ever dealt with. The air conditioner we bought from them less than 2 years ago has never once worked properly. It had a factory defective part when it was installed. Since then it has never run right, is noisy, and trying to get a technician to fix it is impossible. they either show up late, can't fix it, or just refuse to return our calls. WORST company I have ever dealt with. So sorry we bought our furnace and AC from them. Still waiting for a long promised call from the "scheduling" person to get someone out here. I guess they will wait till it is no longer under warranty. No customer ********************** at all.Champion Comfort Experts Response

We strive for excellent communication and exceptional service, and we regret that your issue has remained unresolved after our multiple visits. In reviewing your customer file, we see our field supervisor was at your home on July 16 and is scheduled for another visit on Tues, July 23. Our HVAC manager has also spoken with you a few times over the phone. We apologize that there is an ongoing issue with your AC unit. We called this company after two local plumbers that we have used in the past were unavailable for a job that needed to be done in the next day or two at most. We reached the answering service and was told they had an appt. available the next morning so of course we took it. They informed my husband there would be a service charge of $95 + parts used to fix the leak. When the guy came the next morning, he took a quick look and quoted us $1013.00. He told us there were several leaks that needed to be replaced and it would be easier and quicker to replace the tubing as well (less than 20'). At this point we had no choice but to have the work down or risk more damage in our crawl space. We expected it to take a few hours based on his quote and since he was replacing pipe and several fittings. He replaced 4 fittings and 1 partial length of pipe. He was in and out in less than 2 hours and that included the time we was talking to us about the job and insisting it wouldn't hurt his feelings if we called someone else. He then called a restoration *** they use to contact us WHILE he was at our home. I called and requested to speak to a manager about the ordeal the next morning but was told she was in a meeting at the time. I have never received a call back and this was two weeks ago. Since that time the restoration *** came out at least 3 times, pulled all insulation, set up dehumidifiers and then came back to check humidity and installed new insulation on the 3rd trip. This took at least two guys and took several hours each time they came. We were charged $6400 and they earned every ***** of it. I was expecting much more just based on the $1000+ plumbing job. The plumber said they charge a flat rate based on how much pipe is used so why were we quoted a service fee on the phone? We called this company based on the 5 star reviews but how does a company justify this charge for a one time visit that took less than 2 hours and few supplies?Champion Comfort Experts Response

5/17/********* We called the customer to confirm address and scope of work. Booked the proper plumbing technician for the job.
5/17/24 1pm Plumbing technician identified the problem, provided a written estimate. The customer signed the estimate and authorized the work to be done.
5/20/24 Customer called in to speak to someone because although they signed the quote, the customer didnt feel that the technician was in the house long enough to justify the cost. The Plumbing manager was in a meeting and the customer was told the plumbing manager would call her back that morning.
This message was not relayed to the plumbing manager. This issue was addressed in our office on 6/10 after the BBB review was received.
6/10 The plumbing manager called the customer on and left a message. She called a second time on 6/11 and was not able to speak to the customer.
Our justification for the charge of this one-time visit is as follows. The service fee is what we charge to go to a customer's house and diagnose the issue. The service fee is waived when repairs are made. We have flat rate pricing meaning each job has a specific rate. We do not bill hourly or charge when it is an emergency call. We do not charge overtime rates if the plumbers work late into the night. Our customers always get the cost up front before we do any work; there are no hidden fees. In addition, we provide a specialized plumbing technician for each job. Due to all this, our technician was able to perform the work quickly because he has technical expertise and carries the correct tools and supplies on his truck. All our technicians are highly trained and regularly receive intensive 2-day training. The other two plumbers the customer called were not able to get to the house when needed, however, we were at the customers house the next afternoon and corrected the problem in an efficient and timely manner.Review from Marie C

I paid over $800 to get my furnace repaired. One guy came out three times. They sent a different guy. He claimed it could be the vents need cleaning. Charged for the replacement of new wires and a new thermostat and my furnace is still broke. The manager will not call me backChampion Comfort Experts Response

We were notified of this complaint on January 18. Our service manager called and spoke to the customer on the afternoon of January 18. He explained that the initial repairs we made to the system were necessary to get the system back in working order. The repairs included replacing sequencers, the transformer and thermostat. At that point, the customer received another important phone call and had to hang up from the conversation. The customer said she would call back, but she has not. Our service manager has tried to contact the customer but has not been able to reach her. We would like to note the following regarding this review. We returned to the customers home a second time to replace wiring that had a bad connection; there was no charge for this visit. When we returned a third time the tech determined that the customers air ducts needed to be cleaned; there was no charge for this visit. Had the customer been able to continue the conversation, our service manager would have explained that without proper air flow, the **** system cannot function properly. Until the air ducts have been cleaned, the customer will not receive optimal performance from the **** system. Our service manager will continue to try to contact the customer to explain this.Review from Lisa P

Worst decision of my life. Pre installation service was great, post installation, after many service visits to "tweak" my underperforming systems has left me with outrageous utility bills. They replaced my two 20 year old HVAC systems which outperformed these 2 new systems by a country mile. One system did not cool one level of my home to a comfortable temperature this summer. And now with the cooler Temps, my utility bill is double what it was last year with old systems. After many requests for resolution, I was finally told that they would honor my contract which states guarantee of 30% savings for the first year via reimbursement for the stated savings. No mention of resolving the real issue of faulty systems. My light bill for Dec 2022 was $524!!!! This is more than DOUBLE my normal bill for Dec. Champion has stuck me with 2 systems that I cannot afford to use. Not what I expected when I hired them to install new systems to keep my home comfortable and save me money on electric bill. I will never recommend or use this company for anything going forward.Champion Comfort Experts Response

Our service manager contacted the customer regarding this review. We visited the customer's house to discuss the issue. During the visit, we discovered that there was a misunderstanding about how the new system operated. We demonstrated how the system operated in the most efficient mode and the customer is satisfied. We have fully resolved the issue.
