The company came to install to AC residential units, from the get go this has been an ongoing issues with the units. They didnt remove the old unit, our bills sky rocketed turns out they forgot to put heating strips in new unit upstairs! We would have never known if the freezing weather came upon us, and this is after an after installation inspection was done. The units keep making loud sound theres different stories either thats they way its supposed to sound to the people who installed the units didnt insulate or level it right. My wife suffers from extreme anxiety that has become worse due to the sound and all the issues with the units. She is willing to Supply a Therapist Letter, in addition my animals are getting anxious over sound . They send the same people over and over again All that happens is a temporary fix. I have company over and they can clearly hear and ask what's that sound! We had older units and never ever had that sound, We are suffering from lack of sleep anxiety among other things. I am requesting full replacement of both units if not We want to get a second opinion, without it voiding any contracts. We dont want the same technicians or supervisor to come out. With the amount of money paid its unbelievable that till this date issues are recurring.Business response

This comes at a surprise to us since we have not been to your home since april and that was to repair the refrigerant line and wiring that your dog chewed through. We have reached out to Mr. ******* by phone today to schedule an at home visit by ****** ****** (Owner of Modern) to personally hear the noise and resolve the issue. Mr. ******* did not answer. We left a voicemail stating the above and we await his return phone call to set up a day and time to meet at his home so that we may bring his family resolution.Customer response

Service was provided by MM in 2021 for a replacement on a Thermostat in my homeThe bill cost was 381.10 for the repair.In Jan 2022,I had another issue with my system that was completely not related to the Thermostat,but while another company was repairing the new issue,I was told that the Thermostat that was replace by the company in 2021 was the wrong one for my unit.I had the new company replace the Thermostat to the correct one.After that I reached out the MM to seek resolution to me for having to replace the Thermostat with the correct one for my unit to work properly.After no response from the first email I sent to the company,I sent another one to see if someone would answer me back.When I finally got a response,from MM.I proceed to express to him that the replacement Thermostat they provided me did not work with my unit,therefore I had to have it replaced again.I was asking for just the cost of the part that was as indicated on my bill $282 just for the Thermostat,which now I have found was a 300% markup from the current one that was place in my home at the price of $75 in Jan 22.MM proceed to express that the one that they placed in my home would work for all home units, which is not correct. I have to have one that has an emergency heat setting and the one they installed did not.MM proceeds to tell me that since I went on and replace it that it was not MM problem now,I did not give them the chance to replace it.He also proceed to tell me that it was in warranty,which this is the first time I have heard about an warranty,it was not indicated on the receipt that was provided not told by the tech that done the job.I told him if I had know about a warranty, I would have use it.I used and paid MM in good faith that I was getting proper parts for my home, and think its only fair that I get the cost of the part back.MM did not want to own up to mistake and insinuate I would lie to BBB with my complaint which was rude.see attachments below for whole conversation TYBusiness response

We where not informed of any issue with the thermostat. Ms. ***** has not provided any documentation to MM in regard to any thermostat malfunction. She emailed MM wanting her money back. The thermostat has a 1 year part and labor warranty. we will be happy to replace it for her at no charge. We simple cannot refund the repair based upon a request. we need an opportunity to make it right if something did malfunction. we did not get that chance. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/03/02) */ As indicated this company does not want to admit that what they did is completely wrong they did not install proper Parts in my home I did not get an opportunity to know about an a warranty with their company that was not discussed with me nor told to me at the time that the part was in put in place until the email between the company and I happen I never knew about a warranty it's just a cop out by this company. They are trying to use that they did not get an opportunity to fix it but if I had known I had an opportunity in place I definitely would had used that opportunity and not paid another bill to have the same thing replace again it's just a way for company to cheat the consumer out of their money if this company had asked for proof of where I had had it replaced I would have been glad to supply it to them but this is just another way for them to do the consumer wrong and not own up for doing something wrong I don't need another thermostat replaced the one that was replaced was replaced with the correct one that was incorrectly put in by this company in the first place so as far as an opportunity to to replace it that does not need to happen what needs to happen is they need to own up to their mistake and make it right and the right thing is to refund my money that I gave to your company in good faith that I was receiving good service and proper part for my issue and that did not happen not to meCompanthyocrrst of the thermostat you charge me $282 vs $75 by the other company that is totally ridiculous that is complete price gouging by your Company your company can keep using the excuse that you did not have an opportunity to fix it but you know you installed the wrong part you just will not admit what this company done was wrong. As I see it this company needs to change its logo from we are your "go-to people"to we "will screw you people" Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/03/03) */ there is noting more I can respond to. we have no proof that the thermostat was wrong or malfunctioning, we have no invoice from another company of what was found wrong in January and we were given no opportunity to correct the situation. there is noting more I can do for this customer. First let me say now you're adding that it was malfunctioning nobody has indicated that it was malfunctioning the whole issue it was the wrong part modern mechanics how you can do is give the same one that you didn't get an opportunity to do this you didn't get an opportunity to do that it's a shame and if you want proof you can have the piece of junk that you put in my home and I will be glad to leave it on your front of your business and you can have it because it is worth a **** to me there would be your proof maybe you can sell it to another one of your customers and get another 300% markup on the same piece of junk. Word of mouth is a wonderful advertisement just know. Oh and be on the lookout at your reviews I'm going to add you a nice one as well. If you modern mechanics can live with it I can live without it because I'm better for it not you
