On or about April 15, 2024, ************************ promised to build a fence around our backyard. We paid him a deposit of $6000.00. To date he has done no work. We have tried without success to get a refund of our deposit. ************** agrees that he owes us a refund, but after numerous conversations in which he offered excuse after excuse he has failed to give us a refund. Additionally, he dropped a pallet of cement in our backyard which he keeps saying he will remove but has not done so.We notice he has engaged in the same scam with at least two other parties.

            ***************************

We had a company to install the fence is reason the concrete was delivered. The company never installed the fence so we told *************************** that we would install the fence. He then said he didn't want us to install the fence. We had already purchased the lights for each post and built the fence. His fence had to be built a different way due to a wire for the lights to be ran.

We have no problem removing the concrete. However we had to return the lights which cost us 20% for restocking not counting the wasted time building his fence differently

We sell fence material he knew that we only have so many days a week we could install the fence. That's the reason we sub out the project

We will refund deposit plus remove concrete

            Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, the business has made so many unfulfilled promises that I have trouble believing him this time and reserve my right to amend my complaint

            Thank you.

I hired ***** at The Fence Yard to install fencing around my 15 acre property. Based on his quote, I gave him a deposit of $17,000 on Feb 01, 2024. He said he would order the vinyl fence immediately and that would take up to 6 weeks for delivery but would start delivering wood posts the next day. He kept having reasons for delays including trying to get me to change the product while still saying it was ordered and paid for. In March, I reached out to the fencing manufacturer to check on my order. They said they had no order for my fencing. ***** continued to claim it was ordered and paid for. Still no product or work done on my project and so on Mar 19 I started asking for my money back. He came on March 22, but only measured a some of my property lines. Not sure how the fence was ordered if he didn't have a measurement. I continued to ask for my refund and at one point he said he couldn't get to his bank but could transfer it to me via Zelle. So I set that up only to find out he only sent $1000, stating the they were limiting him. He would get the limit raised which he didn't do and then He said he would mail the rest in a check and kept telling me it was in the mail. He is not denying that he owes me the refund, just isn't sending it.
