In my opinion, SCA is shockingly unprofessional. After realizing they improperly dinged my credit, they sent me a letter of apology saying they would contact the credit agencies and have the ding removed. A year later it is still being reported by two agencies. When I called SCA and showed them their letter and commitment to get it removed, they said it was the credit agency's problem and that I should contact them. When I politely tried to ask about when and in what form SCA contacted the agencies, and if I could get some information to share with the agencies on the contact, and suggested that the credit agencies would rather hear from SCA, not me (since SCA reported the delinquency, not me), she hung up on me. What nice service! Way to go, a class act (not). I then called SCA's client to report what I believed to be the very unprofessional conduct of their agent. At least they seemed to care and said they'd look into the issue and harsh treatment. So, in my opinion, any company that retains this so-called "service" to collect funds, such as [INSERT NAME HERE], is taking an enormous risk by entrusting its reputation and goodwill in the hands of SCA. I have tried repeatedly to enter the account number on their bill that they sent me through their automated voice system to pay. It does not recognize the account number printed on their bill. Second, their business hours are workday hours when people are not able to get on the phone to handle this. Absolutely horrible systems in place.

Our clients normally send multiple statements to consumers before referring the consumer to us for collection. We have no record of this consumer contacting us directly. If a consumer contacts us directly regarding never receiving a statement from the client, we work with them to resolve any issue related to their account.
