May 2024, i paid roofing exteriors pro $35,000 for new siding, new gutters, and a new metal roof. We have filed multiple complaints with the company due bent gutters, water leaking thru siding, and the new metal roof is rusting. They came out multiple times and took pictures and said the metal roof was defective and he would file a warranty paper with the company that made the roof. I have been sending texts and emails asking about what was going on and he said he was waiting on the warranty people to call. Still 8 months later nothing is resolved, I sent a text to the owner, ** *******, and another email last week asking for warranty contact number and contact person and I have not got any response from anyone. Roofing exteriors pro is at fault because they admitted they used a different company to put our roof on and they were not trained to do it. The workers were found sleeping on the job, and did not know what they were doing. I have pictures proving that. I have multiple pictures of the ***** roof and I want a full refund for a damaged roof and mental anguish. I had to pay someone to remove my solar panels and I can not put them back up until the roof is replaced.I have been paying for the panels monthly and I can not use them. I have lost about $2000 since my solar panels can not be used.

    Good morning, Miss ****,

I hope you're staying warm. Im reaching out regarding the service complaint claim ********. Upon discovering the rust, we promptly informed the client that it was a manufacturing defect. We immediately contacted our supplier, who in turn reached out to the manufacturer to file a claim.

We are currently awaiting a response regarding when they can come to inspect the roof. I have communicated to the homeowner that while we cannot expedite the manufacturer's assessment, the claim has been filed, and we have done everything within our power. The homeowner has expressed some frustration with the manufacturer due to the delays, but it's important to note that this does not reflect our efforts. We acted swiftly upon the homeowner's report and filed the claim with our distributor right away.

We are diligently working with the distributor to seek a resolution, as the manufacturer does have a warranty in place. We want to assure you that we are not being negligent in our service. Although the homeowner is understandably frustrated with the timeline, we have informed them that the manufacturer is experiencing a backlog, which is beyond our control. We will continue to keep the homeowner updated and are committed to resolving this issue as swiftly as possible once the manufacturer addresses the warranty claim.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,

I am rejecting this response because:
They only responded because I contacted BBB.
They do not contact me or keep me updated as they say. I have to contact them and sometimes they do not respond. This has been going on too long and I just want it to be corrected so I can move forward in other areas. The warranty aspect should be handled **** but I really dont know if it is, it's what he's telling me. I would have to say I regret my decision in using this company and I just want this to be over. Going on 8 months and still waiting,  I'm tired and aggravated that this huge expense has caused so much anguish and disappointments .

I contracted with Roofing Exteriors Pro to tear down and replace an existing deck and stairs connected to my home. On July 23, 2024, I paid a down payment of $2464 (50% of the contract price), and work commenced on August 1, 2024. The work was unsatisfactory, and I requested the company fix the problems with the work that I identified to them in an email dated August 13, 2024. After some delay, Roofing Exteriors Pro sent a crew on October 10 to correct the problems. On October 11, the company called me and asked if they could charge my credit card for the final payment. I said they could charge the credit card only after the work was inspected and approved by the building inspector (a position that I had previously made clear to them on the phone). They did not wait for inspection and approval by the building inspector, and charged my credit card $2464 without authorization on October 11. They didn't even request inspection by the building inspector until after I contacted the building inspector's office on October 28, and the permit office supervisor contacted Roofing Exteriors Pro about the inspection. The work was inspected on October 30 and failed inspection. I made written requests on October 16 and on October 31 requesting that Roofing Exterior Pros reverse the unauthorized charge to my credit card, and my requests have been ignored. Now that they have received full payment (by unauthorized means), I have no leverage to insure that the defects in workmanship will be fixed properly. I am requesting immediate reversal of the unauthorized charge of $2464 to my credit card.
