I purchased transmission form them on April 2nd 2024, It was advertised to be rebuilt. It would not mount to the engine there was some sort of clearance issue. They agreed to send another transmission, I had the new one installed. It worked for about 100 miles then completely failed. Now I am without a vehicle and out the purchase price of $2100, plus around $1500 in shop costs. They stretched the process out long enough for the **** return policy to expire so I was forced to keep it, Then claimed the only way they would send another transmission was if I sent them $400 more.

    Business response

    09/12/2024

The transmission is under warranty but the warranty doesn't cover shippings costs.

    Customer response

    09/18/2024

I am rejecting this response because: The transmission never worked to begin with. I am not paying again so I can recieve another faulty item. I have no use for another broken transmission I simply want to return the one I have. I plan on shipping this one back after **** confirms it

    Business response

    03/11/2024

Customer requested a replacement and we sent a second transmission. Currently, customer has both transmissions and a one-year warranty.

    Customer response

    03/11/2024

I am rejecting this response because:
How do I send back both transmissions to get refund or another working transmission? How does my shop get compensated for the 8 hours of labor lost, twice? Who covers the cost of shipping? Seller sent me printable return slip for ************* parcel services but they do not ship items over 75 lbs. Transmission weights ******* lbs. X 2 = ******* lbs.

I purchased a completely rebuilt automatic transmission on Oct 9th 2023 from fvtransmissions through ****. The listing stated they were completely rebuilt by a qualified technician. I spoke to the gentleman on the phone on 10/09/23 who assured me they were rebuilt to strict standards and tested before being sent out. The transmission arrived on 10/17/2023 and installed 10/20/23. I installed it with the help of my father who was a transmission specialist for 40 years for a ******* ****** ********** so it was installed correctly. After a 12 hour install and $60.00 of transmission fluid the transmission leaked severely from the tail shaft seal, speed sensor and front pump area. I contacted the seller by phone and email through ****. He did not care of the cost or amount of time it took to install. He had me get a estimate from a local transmission shop for repairs. This was from *** ************* **** ******** *** ****** ** ****** ***** *************** a estimate repair of $1,223.65. I sent him the estimate on 10/23/23 where he stated it was too much and he would only send a newly rebuilt replacement. He agreed to pay for shipping both ways for the replacement and faulty item. He assured me this one would be double checked. The transmission arrived on 11/03/23 and was installed again on 11/5/23 by me and my experienced 78 year old father. On the test drive the replacement transmission slips in 3rd and 4th gears and will hardly move. I contacted the seller again on 11/07/23 who again does not care of any labor or material costs. He will send another transmission to replace the two already sent. Keep in mind both of the supposedly rebuilt transmissions by qualified technicians did not go a combined 20 miles without failure. He will not refund my money unless I remove the replacement transmission again on my own time or dollar and return both of them back to his shop. He will not consider any reimbursement for 20 hours of labor, gas and time to pickup the transmission form the shipping terminal as they are not shipped to your house or the $120.00 of transmission fluid wasted. I am no longer physically able to remove the second faulty transmission this with my 78 year old father as one time should have been enough. I should not have to incur the expense of removal, because he is sending fraudulently marketed transmissions. This gentlemen has reviews on further investigation of fleecing multiple people with the same fraudulent scam. There is no way two transmissions supposedly completely rebuilt by a qualified technical would fail in less than 20 combined miles. Please help! I would like to have the local estimate paid for by this business so I can use my vehicle. Thank you.

    Business response

    11/09/2023

The warranty does not include third-party labor or installation costs, and it only covers the transmission. We have approved a return and the gentleman will receive a full refund after we receive the item.

    Customer response

    11/09/2023

I am rejecting this response because:

The second transmission was inspected by a professional technician and was thought to be incorrectly assembled. The first transmission was incorrectly assembled so me the consumer should be assisted with some compensation for time lost and supplies used. This business claims that the products are rebuilt to stringent specifications by qualified technicians. This is a fraudulent statement as both items failed immediately after install. Both transmissions were installed by a former ** transmission specialist. This company should be prevented from selling these products. Please see further evidence of this business’s fraudulent behavior on ****’s ratings. I would like to have the transmission fixed locally as I have already put two of his faulty transmissions in. He offered me another replacement transmission to replace the others. I’m sorry but two failures is enough. Again regardless of his warranty statement, he should have some liability due to fraud as he has no common decency as evident by his lack of humanity on the phone. Please help prevent others from getting scammed by this business.

On June 17, 2022 I purchased a rebuilt transmission on **** for $1,581.94 and had it delivered to a local auto shop where i paid $600 to have it installed. After having it installed I noticed right away something wasn't right because it wasn't shifting right. I contacted the seller that told me it had a 1 year warranty on it and that I was to ship it back to them for repair. This would have cost me another $600 for removal and shipping costs only to possible receive another faulty transmission. I drove the van to a local transmission place and they discovered that internal parts were not tightened during the rebuild which caused failure of other parts as well. I had to pay another $1,500 out of my pocket to have it repaired and it now works great. The original seller refuses to pay for the 3rd party repair which was needed due to their negligence of attention to detail during their rebuild. I, the customer should not be the one out $1,500 extra due to some guy in their shop forgetting to tighten up bolts when rebuilding this transmission.

    Customer response

    02/27/2023

Attached are the back and forth messages that were sent about this rebuilt transmission that was shipped to me that was not rebuilt to function correctly.

    Business response

    03/06/2023

Our warranty does not cover third-party labor or unauthorized repairs. Thank you.

    Customer response

    03/06/2023

I am rejecting this response because:  This response is not acceptable.  I paid for a working transmission and you sent me a broke on which would have cost me $600 more out of my pocket for removal plus shipping costs to send back to you and the fact that you sent me a improperly assembled rebuilt transmission in the first place.....why and how could I trust you to do the job right the 2nd time?  I expect you to pay me for the cost of the proper rebuild I had to pay for due to your faulty rebuild.  If need be, I will take this to court.  I will not let this slide.  Your failure to attention to detail on a rebuild cost me a extra $1,500 out of my pocket.  This is your fault, not mine.
