I looked on Toyota of North Charlottes website at a 2023 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro. I decided to go in because they didnt advertise a dealer markup. The dealership refused to honor the price advertised online, and has essentially baited me as a customer into coming into the dealership then switching the price to $15,000 over msrp. Other dealerships in the area have their markups advertised online, and the corporate general manager of the store even went on to gaslight me about knowledge of the used car market when valuing my trade and started probing for political differences. A very unpleasant experience, indeed, and unethical of them to advertise one price and not honor it.

They advertised for a lease on a corolla base of $99. I gave a down-payment of $5k had the fico score (over 800) and everything but they said they could not give it to me because it was a **************. If I didn't buy it at $299 with $5k down leased someone else would. Also promised tinted windows and upgraded floor mats, didn't get those either. I wrote a negative review on ****** and someone from there asked for me to email their relationship department. I did that and no response. Even the service department delivered my negative review to the sale department and nothing. Stay away from this dealership, nothing but snakes in the grass

If you value your time, money, and honesty, stay as far as you can away from this stealership. A true classic car stealership that want to make a quick buck off of you! I was in the market for a ********************** Manual transmission, and found this listing online for MSRP. I verified it on their website, Car Gurus, and others. I called in a few times to make sure that it was still good, and they assured me that they were willing to make a deal at MSRP or better. The day before I decided to make a two-hour drive away from home they reassured that it was still good. I woke up my family at 5AM to be there first thing when they opened, made the two hour trip to find out that a Brand New vehicle is no longer New, because it already had ******************************************************* to floor it! I know that Toyota recommends a 621 mile break in period where you have to stay below ****rpm and vary engine speed not send it to redline on every test drive! This was a manual so it was sitting on their lot for 59 days when I came in. Then we went to sit down for numbers. They had us fill out a credit application way before the numbers were even discussed, put on this big dog and pony show on options we can use like finance, lease, or cash for absolutely no reason. Anyone with any knowledge of using the internet already knows these options. They then came out with a very suspicious paper that only had the vehicle price and the trade-in value. The price was now revealed to be $10,000 above MSRP market adjusted value with no reasoning, no justification, nothing. The trade in offer was atrocious, and I had a very decent trade in, not a beat down throwaway vehicle. I already had another deal at a different dealership, but I wanted to give this one a chance because they might give me a better offer All in all, waste of time, effort and gas money to try and deal with clowns dressed as businessmen/women. Take your money elsewhere and dont look back!

"Fool me twice. " I guess this one was on me. After my last review (not posted here) I tried to write to the general manager but they keep the identity of that whatever it is hidden and I'm sure the lady running interference for them tossed my complaint but I did get a couple of calls from someone there asking to give them a second chance and promising it would be better.I did and they made a fool out of me yet again. Car shown as in stock. I checked the "in stock" box. The picture of the new Camry was an actual picture from their lot (I recognized the background). I inquired and they called me no less than 4 times in a 20 hour period trying to get me to "make an appointment to see it." On the second to last call I told them I might come in the following day but since it wasn't a haircut I was after, I didn't feel the need to make an appointment. They must have made one for me because on the last call before heading down there, they had me down for 3:30. Yup, they made the appointment for me.Anyway, let me get to the good part. ONCE AGAIN THE VEHICLE NOT ONLY WASN'T THERE BUT NEVER WAS. It is inbound, due in a week. They tricked me yet again in an effort to presell the vehicle. WTH is wrong with these people? They must feel us North Carolinians are stupid enough to fall for this garbage. Yes, inventory is low but they are LOVING this "shortage:" Fewer employees, less advertising and each and every car sold at an absurd premium. People, just wait this out. It won't be much longer. And don't forgive this c*** show of a dealer for what they are doing to everyone.

We went online to find a car, saw what we were looking for on Toyota of North Charlotte's webpage. There is said that the price was $42K and it had a line through it which insinuated that it was even less. We went to the dealership, total caricature of classic dirty car salesmanship. We met with an initial handler, then a sales person came out and we repeated all of the same information, that sales person had to go back the the "sales manager" to see if it was on the way in, then to see if there was a discount, then to go and see what the price was. Then the "Sales Director" came out and gave us the news that the cost is actually $5K more than the list price. "because of the market...". When asked about the price online, he asked, was there a line through it? I said yes and that insinuates that it was going to be less. His response was, "not in today's market, a line through means it's more." Then he winked at us. It was literally robbery, and such a sleazy tactic. Do not trust this dealership. Toyota should know what they are doing. Just a terrible experience.

I took my *** to get an oil change and state inspection. Then I decided to get it appraised. It was a ridiculous low number he gave me, so I told him, I will take it to another dealership that appraised my *** higher than he did. Then he asked me if he could match the other dealership price. I told him he had his opportunity. I just wanted to sell the *** back to them. Toyotas are good cars, but I told him I wanted a luxury ***. He then asked me to purchase another Toyota *** from him, and trade it at another dealership to get my luxury ***. That was a desperate statement. He really needed a sale. I truly believe the sales person intentionally scratched the hood of my ***. I asked **** the service manager, if I could review the footage and he declined. He was very rude to me.

Toyota of North Charlotte is probably the worst dealership and auto financing company. I highly recommend everyone to stay clear of this company. They have the worst customer service in every department especially finance.
