    The buckle on the belt I had purchased bent after regular use. I notified the company and sent them photos. The No Nickel brand name was stamped on the back of the buckle. ********************* replied to me "you can gently bend the pin back in place. Our buckles are made without nickel so customers like you can live a rash free life. Nickel is used because it is STRONG and cheap. Buckles made without nickel are softer and prone to what. Just gently bend it back." This was unacceptable and ******* refused to provide me a refund because there are "no refunds for used belts." I would not recommend this company or their buckles.

    We have exchanged the customer's belt 4 months past our stated policy - see below.

    We don't accept belts that have been altered by adding new holes. ************************************************************** This puts undue stress on the pin and can cause it to ******* break if the hole is not the correct size. We have specific leather punches for each size pin we use.  If a customer needs a few extra holes we do it at no charge and actually refurbish the belt to make it look better.  Again, no extra charge. 

    We can not refund a belt after it's been altered and worn for 7 months.

    I recently received my belt I ordered from you and it is one of the finest belts I have purchased. Granted I havent purchased a belt in over 20 years, but chose your company to buy one from. Question, I purchased a 36 inch as recommended by some searching based on my 34 inch waist.Unfortunately, the belt is just a bit too long. I have one more hole left to make it smaller. My goal is to lose a bit of weight and I guess I just over shot the length, considering I havent had to shop for a good leather belt in over 20 years. Can you help? What do you suggest? Shipping is pretty expensive to ship back and order a new one. Hope you can help and thank you for making a great *** ****** free belt.

    I am rejecting this response because: the belt has not been altered, the belt has been worn. The buckle is poor quality and has bent. Their initial suggestion of bending the buckle straight is unacceptable and will only weaken the buckle further. See my original complaint. The buckle is the issue and should be replaced by the company. I am rejecting their response.

    I wore the belt 6 times (to go through airports) when the tongue of the buckle broke off. I contacted customer service, sent them photos, and--at their direction--sent them the belt (t my expense). I was told that the belt use was "rougher than intended" (not true, it was worn to go through airports and when sitting in an office) and that they'd fix it (month or so turnaround) if I paid an additional $12 in shipping. I told them that I thought it would be fair for them to pay the shipping since I had to pay to ship it back to them and it was their product that broke. They refused. When I asked them to ********* it back; they refused unless I paid shipping, HORRIBLE customer service. It' a $100 belt that broke after six uses and now they're holding it hostage unless I pay them more shipping. I understand that being a small business is tough; but, this is no way to treat customers.

    We are sorry that you are dissatisfied with our service.

    When you originally contacted us, we explained both our shipping policy and repair times.  I am unsure why these became an issue.

    To clarify, we were not going to fix your buckle, we were going to completely replace it with a brand new buckle at no charge a $55.00 value. That is why it can take up to a month for a repair.

    Per your request, we have issued a refund for the amount you paid for the belt - $79.95.
