    9/5/23 we contacted ******* to fix our hvac. He came over to diagnose. We paid him $485 cash for replacement parts, labor and a 1yr service contract.9/6 he replaced the parts. Unit came on but didnt cool.9/8 ******* returned and said the compressor was damaged and we should replace it or get a new unit. We opted for the new unit bc it came with a new warranty. Said he would apply the labor cost already paid to the replacement job and refund us the $200 service contract bc the new unit would include a 2yr service contract. We paid ******* via Venmo $5785 (all in cost parts and labor). He claimed delivery would be 2-4 days.9/11 ******* said shipping wasnt included in the quote and it was $375 - paid via Venmo. (I later contacted the company we ordered from and they said it was free shipping).9/14 ******* asked us to pay him $3199.97 from our heloc loan for his overdue power bill. We declined. We asked ******* for tracking info and an eta for delivery numerous days in a row with no definite answer.9/21 unit delivered via *******. ******* arrived to watch it get unloaded, told me he couldnt install today but would tomorrow. Also required $110.15 for a gas line before 4pm today -sent via Venmo.9/22-9/29 ******* came up with numerous excuses as to why he couldnt install the unit yet, also refused to provide receipts, his license or insurance info, etc.9/29 we requested a refund for labor not performed, gas line, and service contract 9/30 ******* sent me a fraudulent receipt from ******** and claimed they wouldnt give him the gas line receipt. Continued making excuses. We initiated a dispute with *****.10/16 ***** refunded $110.15 9/30-now ******* has promised h*** return the money, changed his mind, lost our contact info, stopped responding to messages 11/9-1/29 we filed court papers, he evaded being served, we filed again, finally succeeding in serving him 1/29 Judge placed judgement on ******* 2/12 we still havent received repayment from *******

    This has already been before the magistrate.  And the amount is way off.  The amount is around ****. And the job was canceled by them because I couldn't get receipts to them in time.  The magistrate even said they were ridiculous.  But obviously because they paid for labor upfront it has ti be paid.  They already received the new unit and had another company install it.
