This company hired a subcontractor to haul their sheds. My neighbor has her shed removed from her yard and this company exited through MY yard and caused a significant amount of damage and is refusing to accept responsibility for the damages and refuses to make it right. How is it ok for them to use someone elses yard when removing a product. This is trespassing and is bad practice as a business. My photos will not upload.

I was unaware of this situation until I received a letter from the BBB. Due to the involvement of multiple parties, there was a lapse in communication. Upon receiving the letter, I began investigating the matter and spoke with everyone involved. Ive learned that Ms. ********* neighbor rented a shed that we, Liberty Sheds, manufactured using a rent-to-own company, ***********. When the neighbor decided to return the shed, AFG Rentals coordinated with Harkeys Hauling, the company responsible for hauling our buildings, to retrieve the shed from her property.

It is my understanding that the neighbor gave permission for the delivery professional to access that part of the property. The two companies I mentioned before, *********** and ************** Hauling, did communicate about this situation, but our customer service team at ******************** was not alerted. Although our delivery team works hard to prevent damage during delivery and retrieval, which involves moving portable buildings across properties, occasional circumstances could cause damage, depending on factors such as soil conditions, weather, and grass maturity. On rare occasions, we address these issues directly with our customers or, in this case, with the neighbor.

I'm unclear on what the next steps would be. Am I allowed to reach out to the customer directly or should I allow you to put us in contact? If I had been made aware of the issue earlier, we would have worked with the neighbor to resolve it by either sending one of our employees to smooth the dirt and reseed the area or by arranging for a landscaping company to handle the repair.

Thanks again for your help! I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and yours.

    Take care,

    ******

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and I accept it.

they have permission to call me at ************** as to nobody has my permission as the owner of the property to trespass on my property and cause damage. I know there were several subcontractors involved. However as a business owner myself it falls back on the original business owner and they make it right and then can settle up with the subcontractors. I have to pay to have my yard repaired at $600. I would like to be reimbursed

I went to shop for a storage building in Feb of 2022 and found f one I want to buy. I was told prices increase March 1 2022 so I came to purchase this building 2/28/2022. Walked into the building and it is priced at $21,973. I went to purchase it and am told that it will be an additional 2k over the stickered price now. They refuse to sell at the advertised price and wasted my time because they have a material cost increase on a building that is sitting already built? I just want to purchase the building for the advertised price.

    Hello Mr ******,

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you. We have reached out to you by phone to try and understand your situation personally but have unable to reach you. Due to rapidly rising costs of raw materials, fuel, and labor costs, we instituted a price increase on our sheds at all our sales locations on Monday, February 28, 2022. Our sales team reached out to all customers who had an active quote in our system on Friday, February 25th to let them know of the upcoming price increase and give people the opportunity to purchase before this increase. To our knowledge, we did not have an active quote for you in our system, so you likely did not receive this communique. On Monday, our sales team was involved in a massive retagging of inventory to reflect these new prices when you arrived at the sales location in Salisbury. We regret that you were unable to purchase before this price increase. We are doing all we can to keep prices as low as possible while covering costs during these difficult times. If you would like to speak to our Customer Care team about your situation and see how we could help you meet your budget, please call 336-751-0599.
