Total roofing replacement completed 7/22/2022 Amount Paid: $6,017.74 About two years after the roof was replaced, a major leak was noticed during the first heavily sustained rainstorm (from Hurricane ******) which resulted in a part of the ceiling collapsing from all of water. I've inspected the area of roof where the leak occurred and there's no apparent damage. The roof was said to have a 20 year lifespan.I've attempted to contact Rhody Roofing via several calls, a voicemail, and a text message over the course of two weeks and have not heard a word back. Rhody was very responsive when the build originally took place.I'm seeking consultation and repairs for the roofing leak since I can take care of the damaged ceiling.

*** sent a contract on Nov 21 to complete exterior repairs on my parent's home. I personally sent the deposit of $900 via Zelle on Dec 14. He said via text that someone would get started the next Sat. Some work was done; however not complete. My one parent called *** in Jan to ask about completing the repairs. He said he was away for the holidays & that someone would be there soon. On Feb 2 he said that a storm door would be installed the next day-it wasn't. On Feb 12 I sent a text about the storm door not being installed. He stated that the door is on special order which is not true since storm doors are normally available at most home stores. He sends pictures of work that his crew completed, but a good bit was not complete. On Feb 15 I sent pictures of things uncompleted work. He told me via text that he was not aware of those issues & that it would be addressed. *** sends a picture of a door-not a storm door & said that the doors are here-as if they are just now available in the store. On Feb 16 he stated that the storm door would be installed the next Sat and sent pictures of completed work. The work was not satisfactory-the trim did not match with the other trim & a hole was not repaired. Pictures were sent to *** as proof. I requested per my parent that he discontinue the work due to various factors (lack of communication, timing to complete work & the poor-quality work of some things completed). I requested half of the deposit to which he agreed via text and stated it would be back to me around Feb 20 which didn't occur. Spoke to *** on Feb 23-he asked for an extra day to pay & gave excuses on the crew that he hired. He told my parent on Mar 8 that he would refund the next ******** didn't do so. I've repeatedly called/texted & he has blocked my number which tells me that he knows he's wrong. He treated this ******** family as second-rate customers. The BBB reviews prove we were not a priority since 3 homeowners sent GREAT reviews during the timeframe.

I am rejecting this response because:

The response from the company states:  "The customer is always right therefore without further explanations we will be refunding you a partial refund by end of MARCH.  Thank you and again many apologies".  I want to be clear that the partial refund is $450 per the discussion between the company and myself.  I do not want to accept the response and the company sends an amount that is less than what was agreed.

            Please advise.  Thanks!

I am rejecting this response because:

On March 27 via the BBB platform, you stated "The customer is always right therefore without further explanations we will be refunding you a partial refund by end of MARCH.  Thank you and again many apologies."

Are you going back on your word that you will not move forward with what you stated that you would do?
