I really try to stay away from submitting negative reviews but I felt a responsibility to share my story with others about this breeder. Be aware up front that this man is disturbed. From the time you arrive to pick up your pup, h*** ******* you with a plethora of pro-*****, anti-vax, anti-science conspiracy theories. It took me 30 minutes to get him to shut up and get down to business. Id purchased a pup from him 2 years ago with no issues. I decided to get her a playmate and purchased a MaltiPoo ($1,500) from his website. I picked up the dog and headed home, thankful to escape the sick rhetoric this man had been spouting for the last half hour. The dog continued to throw up several times during the 90 minute ride but I attributed this to car sickness. She continued to vomit periodically during the week with no other signs of serious distress. Seven days later, she stopped eating, drinking and became very lethargic. I gave the breeder a call who advised me to give her a bit of malt syrup and the antibiotic hed sent home with me. Well, after a few more hours my better mind told me to take her to the vet emergency room at which time she was diagnosed with ParvoVirus. We are now currently getting in-patient treatment and her prognosis is good. Be advised and beware, if you ever have a problem with your puppy, he will take absolutely No responsibility. H*** start ranting ridiculous conspiracy theories that drug companies are purposely injecting viruses into the vaccinations and other morbid comments like the Covid epidemic was a hoax. I hate to share these sick comments but I think its important that people understand the level of ignorance youll be dealing with if you choose to do business with this man. Parvovirus is a highly contagious disease that can incubate for up to two weeks but *********************** response was that I probably picked it up from a doorknob and refused to take any responsibility. Save yourself the expense, grief. And anxiety and go elsewhere.HealthyPups.com Response

Thank you SO much for attacking us and allowing me to share truth with millions of people that would otherwise not listen. If you read other reviews and blog with other buyers on social media, you will find most folks thankful for the info I share with them. Several puppy buyers have even called to thank me for sharing the canine vs human relationship between diet and disease because changing their diet reversed their cancer and saved their lives. If you had taken time to read the material on our website, you would have learned that I dont want to sell a puppy to a person with your worldview because you so often make poor choices, fail to follow instructions, believe the misdiagnoses of inexperienced science trusting vets who vaccinate puppies too small and make them sick, and then blame me for problems you will create in your puppy. We dont like to see our puppy families get scammed and their dogs poisoned. Over the past 42 years I have saved the lives of hundreds of puppies that were misdiagnosed as having genetic defects, when they were only sick from pet products, environmental poisonings, and irritations. I tried to share and protect your future before you attacked me and called my comments political. Unfortunately, this forum will not allow me to properly discuss your review without saying it is inappropriate content. This kind of censorship should be a violation of our right to free speech. I would like to invite all of you to read my complete response to this review in the blog section at www.healthypups.com. We have had approximately 20 negative reviews in 42 years and approximately ******* happy families. You can freely interact with hundreds of happy customers who don't think I'm crazy on our social media page.Review from Carol D

I adopted my y Yorkie from Irvin. It was a very pleasant and professional experience. I named my puppy Locksley after Robin Hood, because he's a little thief. He stole my heart in a matter of minutes.Review from Heather B

I purchased my maltese, Cezar in 2011. Little did I know how much this little dog would change my life! He is the best dog ever. Irvin is truly an expert breeder and takes excellent care of the mother's of the puppies, and the puppies. Cezar is 12, and so far, has minimal issues. I pray for many more years with my little best friend. I highly recommend Healthy Pups.Review from Victoria C

I purchased my puppy from Heathy Pups. The man that owned Healthy pup was very friendly however, his breeding practice is very outdated. When I got home i made an appointment for my new baby and the Vet informed me that my puppy had a heart murmur level 2. I had to make an appointment for the cardiologist, which informed me that my puppy needed surgery.. She said that once the puppy had surgery the heart murmur would disappear. She informed me that this was due to poor breading. She looked up the laws in North Carolina and they did not have a lemon law. She been sick off and on since I had her, constant diarrhea and throwing up. She is a sweet baby and I will do everything I can to help her live. Total medical cost since I got her in August is approx. 12,000.00 not including the 2000.00 i paid to get her. proceed with caution with this companyHealthyPups.com Response

You need to stay away from this vet. Over the past 42 years of working with the same group of pets here, we have seen many young and tiny puppies present heart murmurs. Level twos are common. 99.9% of those young puppies grew to have normal heart beats by six months of age. The heart is just another muscle whose performance is related to the overall health of the puppy. The greatest contributing factor to heart murmurs and diaharrea in young and tiny puppies is vaccine reactions. Giardia lamblia protozoal blooms also occur in puppies that are vaccinated too soon and too often. I have seen puppies have level 4 murmurs that went back to normal in less than 48 hours after the vaccine reaction was over. Extreme handling stress can also cause these issues. I have encouraged hundreds of pet owners over the years to not worry about heart murmurs in tiny puppies unless they are really severe and do not go away by six months of age.The results? Only TWO puppies did not get well by six months of age. You can call my experience outdated if you wish, but not calling and making us aware of this situation likely just allowed you to be scammed out of $12,000.00. The obituary columns and medical offices are filled with those who trust science instead of God. It seems they are not teaching common sense in veterinary school today. I'm disappointed to hear that you were deceived to do this. It is unethical to even consider heart surgery for a tiny puppy with a level 2 murmur without giving it time to get well on it's own. Feed the puppy better and don't vaccinate it again for a few weeks is the best treatment for this situation. The proper treatment is free. My goal is to be the friend of everyone who buys a pet from us and to advise after the sale. I'm sorry you felt differently. My "outdated" treatment is free and proven 99% effective. God bless those who will allow me to be their friend, and those who don't. I hope your puppy is doing better by now. I'm sorry you had this problem and even more sorry that you wouldn't call for advice. Best wishes, Irvin B********Review from Donna K

I bought a healthy male teddy bear puppy from Irvin B******** several years ago. Fast forward to September 21, 2022, I contacted and purchased a micro goldendoodle from Mr. B********. I was not allowed to see the parents-due to COVID. I, too, was given a bag of syringes of medications to give this puppy on the day I picked it up. The puppy coughed all the way home. I contacted Mr. B******** and he stated it was due to the stress of transport. I took the puppy to the vet. She was diagnosed with a Stage 4-5 heart murmur, Coccidia/parasites and worms. I notified Mr. B********. He stated that the puppy would out grow the heart murmur. My vet referred me to Virginia Tech Vet Hospital. We were seen on 12-22-22, the first available appointment, and surgery was recommended for a congenital heart defect (PDA). We were told this needed surgical intervention right away. After a successful surgery, she would have a long, healthy life and a very good prognosis. Also, without surgery, the puppy would die within the year. We were directed by both our primary veterinary and the cardiology team that the PDA was not something that could resolve itself over time and our puppy was already in left-sided heart failure per the echocardiogram they performed. I forwarded the medical records from Virginia Tech to Mr. B********. I received no response from him. My puppy died during the PDA repair surgery on 1-2-23. My daughter notified Mr. B********. He offered no money back or even a discounted new puppy. He was unconcerned and even rude stating we had had surgery done too soon and people rush to medical intervention instead of believing in holistic approaches. In closing, I did receive a healthy puppy from Mr. B******** many years ago. This positive result is what lead me back to him. My second experience was completely different. I received a very UNHEALTHY PUPPY and Mr. B********'s disassociative responses and lack of responsibility have been anything but professional.HealthyPups.com Response

*****, This review is the first time I have heard from you since you took the puppy home. We have received no veterinary paperwork concerning this pup since you first took it home. I don't understand why you would not call me. Your puppy probably got car sick on the way home, vomited, and coughed as a result, as so many puppies do. Adult dogs are asymptomatic carriers of the micro organisms that you have mentioned, and science has repeatedly proven that puppies born even in sterile laboratory conditions to moms who have already been wormed are still born with worms and protozoa just as puppies born in the wild. This does not mean that a breeder did not do a good job. Even humans are asymptomatic carriers of these micro organisms. Puppies must build an immune response to become an asymptomatic carrier as their parents before them. Weaker and smaller puppies can be slower to mount an immune response. The syringes that we sent home with your puppy (and all other pups that we sell) came from our vet, and were to eliminate these pests and help the puppy get stronger more quickly. Why did you not use the syringes from our vet that we had provided for free? Anything that makes the puppy and immune system weaker allows the micro organisms to flourish, especially VACCINE REACTIONS. Vaccine reactions, especially in smaller puppies not only cause blooms of worms and protozoa, but heart problems also. We have seen many puppies with heart murmurs over the past 40+ years of this business. Yours is only the second puppy in the past 40 years that did not have a normal heartbeat by 6 months of age. 99% of these heart problems are caused by vaccine reactions, so yes, I did expect your puppy to be okay after a while, AND I assumed it was okay since I had heard nothing more from you since you first took it home. The passing of time is really hard to keep in proper context, as I did not realize that it had been this long since you bought this pup. I was upset because I thought you didn't give the pup enough time to get better. I was also disappointed that you did not call. You should have called and kept me informed of the situation. You can come get another puppy for free if you wish. I know that heart defects in Goldendoodles are rare, but do occur as I have heard of other owners having this happen that bought from other breeders. I am sorry that this happened to you, and I am disappointed that this one was not caused by a vaccine reaction as I had suspected. Waiting for the heart to get better as I had advised you, has allowed 99% of our murmur puppies to get well without surgery. I'm sorry that your pup was an exception. I'm even more sorry that you felt the need to attack me in this review without even calling to advise me that this was still a problem. Best wishes. Irvin B********Review from C. M.

*****I agree this place is most likely a puppy mill.****We bought a Maltipoo from this business after speaking with the nice and seemly very knowledgeable owner. The dog had diarrhea and blood in his stool from day and one. We chalked it up to “stress” from transporting him home and his new environment, however, that was not the case; the dog tested positive for fecal O/Centrifugation & antigens with Giardia, while that can be common occurrence in puppy mills/ and puppies, he should’ve not been sent home with this very. It should’ve been a red flag when I picked the puppy up and the owner, Irvin handed me a bag full of syringes to administer to our puppy. I’ve bought numerous puppies and this has never occurred. Perhaps another red flag I overlooked was when he said not be worry if I see a worm come out of his stool. Secondly, when picking up the puppy from his home, I was given the signature page and then, Irvin attached two additional pages in front of it. From a business perspective, being transparent and honest is important to me; give to all of the pages to review prior to signing. Thirdly, if it were run “above board” the paperwork would of consisted of documentation stating what the fecal test results were and the date said test was administered, the dog’s date of birth etc. Literally, other than the three pages covering the owner from a liability standpoint, the only information we got in the paperwork was the dog’s chip # and the date and serial number for the one shot he’d received. Look I’m not out to bash any one, but things could’ve been handled better. Given the previous comments, I’m sure the owner is going to write a LONG explanation as to why the above occurred. Would I buy another puppy from him, no. Do we love our baby absolutely, but in high in sight maybe you should not let them go home until their fecal tests come back negative (and it’s documented by whomever conducted the test). Maybe you should not send people home with a bag of syringes.HealthyPups.com Response

Good morning, America. Your pet rescue industry wants weak minded people to believe that everyone who breeds dogs is a puppy mill so you will send your hard earned money to save the animals-only to have 1% of that money go to shelters. All the while, 95% of the independent puppies for sale ads online are scammers pretending to have pups so they can collect deposits, and the remaining people who actually have puppies are brokers pretending to have puppies that they pretend to have raised and actually know nothing about. Those who believe the lies of the rescue industry are a serious threat to our freedom to raise and buy pets in America. Once again I must invest my time in responding to the political brainwashing of a liberal disciple who refused to read and educate herself before buying a puppy. The pages that I attached to your paperwork were how to take care of your puppy. This material, plus your warranty, were already posted on our website in hopes that you would read it before choosing our pets and go elsewhere if you disagreed with rational worldview. I have learned that I don't need to sell pets to those who are enemies of our freedoms. It is very possible that you would have not had a Giardia bloom IF you had followed these instructions that we send home with every puppy. There are many things we cannot learn at an XXXXX "I miss this family" rally OR at veterinary doctor school. If you were old enough to remember when Al Gore told us our cities would be under water by the year 2000 you would've probably drowned yourself by now! NEWSFLASH-since you could not read and educate yourself w/ our material, I must now waste my precious time in responding to public enemy no 2. I'm sure you don't know that I have my own scope and have been learning about Giardia for more than 25 years now. ALL adult dogs AND humans are asymptomatic carriers of worms and protozoa. A healthy and MATURE immune system blocks their reproduction. . Liberal science teaches children in vet school that parasites can be eliminated in pets, but they can only be controlled in healthy pets. Science has proven that puppies born even in sterile laboratory conditions from Moms who have ALREADY BEEN WORMED AND TREATED FOR PARASITES are still born with these micro organisms. Our $1,000,000.00 kennel facility is licensed, inspected at random, pressured washed daily and is kept hospital clean. STILL these protozoa cannot be eliminated. We have even used the Giardia vaccine which was just another scam that made dogs sick. I have learned in extensive research in working with the same group of animals for more than 40 years now and in fecal analysis with my own scope, that giardia blooms occur due to handling stress, vaccine reactions (especially in tiny puppies), and that the only treatment is to control them until the puppy builds an immune response that can block the reproduction of the organism. Eventually the puppy grows to be an asymptomatic carrier like his parent before him. The meds that I gave you with your puppy are meds prescribed by OUR VET that we send home with every puppy we sell because the pups need help in controlling the blooms of microorganisms until they get stronger. The white wormer that I gave you is the most effective means of killing giardia cysts, We had already given this to your puppy in the nursery, so your pup may have had a vaccine reaction or you may have handled it too much and it didn't eat properly. Anything that makes the puppy weaker allows the parasites to get stronger. I am sorry you had this problem, that you didn't have time to read, educate yourself, and follow instructions. I'm sorry that you didn't call me to seek advise and allow me to be your friend. Instead, you chose to be my enemy, and the enemies of pet owners everywhere who want more choices than a pit bull mix at the public shelter. More than half of our first time buyers have already been scammed. While unaware deceived people believe their lies and attack those who raise pets, the problem is sure to get worse. Please baby *******s, spay and neuter your liberals, and don't be ******* any more ******! My love and prayers to all!Customer Response

Deflect much??? I did read you website and the instructions. I’m not going to get into a power struggle with you, regardless of how long you’ve been in the business you do t have any initials behind your name; you’re not a doctor. I just want to advise potential future buyers as to my experience. Have a blessed day.Customer Response

Lastly, one additional comment. At the age of 4 months my puppy is already 7.5 lbs the alleged weight of the parents in the video were 7 & 8 lbs. when I asked if I could see the parents, I was told I couldn’t not. Again, should have been a red flag, but live and learn. I know that you can’t predict a dogs weight with 100% accuracy, but one would think the parents’ weight should be a good indicator as to the dog’s anticipated size (but I’m not a Dr.). Note: Based on my dogs current weight, my vet anticipates him weighing about 15 lbs., almost double what the parents weigh.
