I just wanted to file a compliant against Lavigne Appraisals that was done on June 18, 2022. I got in contact with **** about setting up and appointment to come out to appraise the property that I was currently living in. My husband and I were in the process of buying this home from my in laws and the appraisal had to be done before we could move on with the FHA loan that we had got approved for. Mr. Lavigne came into our home and under appraised our home by 100,000 which hurt us because then FHA couldn't move forward with our loan due to the home being under appraised. He appraised our home for $255,000 and it was valued at $355,000 according to our lender that was working on our mortgage. He also said I square footage was 2,107sq per sq at $194.59. Which clearly false because the property is 2316 sq feet. So not only did he under appraise our home he also did not get the sq footage right. My lender tried to file a rebuttal to have Mr. Lavigne reevaluate my home and he would not do it. Which in result hurt my family because we were already approve for the loan to get the home but by him under appraises it we ended up not being able to get the property and we were working with our lender since April just to get hit in the face with we can't do anything for you because of the appraisal. I personally sent Mr. Lavigne an message letting him know of my findings after the reviewing the report and discussing it with the lenders and Mr. Lavigne never got back in contact with me. This is bad business for anyone and $600 that went down hill and our mortgage denied based on a false apprasial report. I would not recommend him to anyone. Now my family is out of a loan that we worked so hard to get. Very disappointed customer so he gets no stars from me.
