    M. Yoder construction was building our home. We have had multiple failed inspections and hired an independent inspector and independent structural engineer to provide us with answers. He was then given the opportunity to fix the 7 code violations as the builder of record. He was also given an opportunity to address multiple, multiple billing errors, he has not. He refuses to fix his mistakes.

    Customer response

    05/31/2022

    Complaint: 17250002

I am rejecting this response because:

Mr. ******************s invoiced us $56k for other customers.  These invoices were for other projects, other customers, products that we are not using and products that were delivered to other addresses. There is money owed but it is to us! His invoicing and his spreadsheet prove that! I plan to address those issues with the licensing board and local authorities. He has not responded to the $39,999 quote in his own invoicing that is for a different customer and added into his totals.  All he had to do was provide correct invoicing and he will see that we are due money back, as we paid him upfront and he has not completed items paid for.
As far as fixing the code violations. The licensing board says that as the builder of record that he is responsible to fix these issues. He continues to ignore that also!!

He has no intention of making it right and we gave him an opportunity to do so thru council.
we are asking him to address the billing errors that he submitted and credit us along with a credit for lumber that removed from our garage on 2/22/22. I have ask via text for this credit and he has not provided that either.
We ask him to fix the seven code violations noted by a licensed structural engineer.  He has not addressed that either.   I have filed a forma complaint with the ** licensing board of general contractors.

I will provide copies of his incorrect invoicing when I am home this evening. Along with the spreadsheet that he provided showing all of these invoices in his totals    We might have been able to address these billing issues if Mr. ****************** had not kept demanding more money before he would do anything else. Essentially holding us hostage. He made this demand three times on a recorded call, before I even got the requested invoices for our job from him.

    Sincerely,

    ***********************
