I’ve received service through Weedman yard care service since March of this year 2023. I’ve canceled service with this company. However I’m being billed for service that was provided. The issue is that I’m very displeased with the service and explained that to this company. There is a clear problem that the service the company has been providing and has created problems. To have the response that they basically don’t care and that if I don’t pay I’ll be reported to creditors. Very disappointed in how the front office has handled this situation.Business response

First of all, your account was cancelled because you call our office and cuss out our admin staff. We don't do business that way, sorry. Grass is a plant and is susceptible to all of the things that nature and the environment throw at it. We have noted and called you several times to inform you that you had brown patch fungus in your lawn. We had a manger come out and walk the lawn who also noted that you had active disease in the lawn. He called you and left a voicemail explaining that. You chose not to address that issue and your lawn is suffering from disease damage. Fungicides for disease are an extra charge from us (and every other lawn care company) All we can do is diagnose and recommend corrective treatments to you. It's ultimately your decision on what you do.
The charges that you owe on your account are two services that were done before your account was cancelled. You agreed to the services, the services were completed. It's not overly complicated. We wish you luck with your lawn going forward.

I am rejecting this response because:
You did not leave a voice mail because that function is not available on my phone ! So you’re wrong on that. Also I did not cuss your staff when I called to cancel. That was a brief 30sec call. However when I called back to address the issue with your service and I received terrible customer service for your manager and also another staff member, I had a few choice words in that matter. I disputing the level of service that I’ve received from your company or lack of. The issue at hand is that from start of your company treatment of my yard it has progressively gotten worse. In fact in has not look this bad in over 5 years. Also to point out , my yard Joines a neighbors yard who uses a competitor treatment company. There is drastic night and day difference between my yard and direct next to. Not to also mention, I’ve pulled video of each time your company was on my property, from arrival to completion was never no more than 5 min. Total. I asked your manager Sandra to have you Scott B****** to call me to discuss personally and my issues with and how I’m dissatisfied with yours company’s service or lack of. Thank you very much and wish you the best.Business response

Mr. *****,
We are not going to continue wasting time on this. You can accept or reject the response but that doesn't change the facts. You signed up for our service in mid March of this year. You elected to not do critical recommended treatments that we advised you to do. We had a very hot, dry August. We can't give you a great lawn in five months, especially under these circumstances. I've attached part of the letter you received when you signed up for you to review. I regret that you stopped the service and didn't follow through to get the results that we all desire.
We have found that misunderstandings are relationship killers; hence within the details you will find answers to some
common questions. There is no doubt that lawn care is a process, but if worked properly, can be a very rewarding
investment in the long term. Patience, persistence, & keeping the communication channels open all go a long way in a
quality, lasting relationship. Weed Man will make great progress as each season lapses. We just need to point out that
lawns that have been under our care for 2, 4, 6 years are much healthier, have fewer weeds, & overall have a nicer
appearance than lawns that we have only been working the process on for an application/season or two.
UNDERSTANDING YOUR WEED MAN SERVICE
It is crucial for you to look over the information included that shows in detail the services that you have ordered, the
extra services that can be added as needed or desired, and further explains how we walk the talk at Weed Man. It is
critical to understand the realities and give us a call if you have any questions. As always, we are also happy to meet
you on the lawn to go over any questions or concerns. Listed below are some important items to keep in mind:Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
This is the problem, you guys have not accepted any responsibility. Because, the yard was in great condition prior to starting service from you guys. I can provide pictures throughout the process. Prior to March and throughout the duration. The back yard was completely killed. Down to dirt !! Meaning zero grass. How’s that possible?? Also to the fungus problem, throughout the front yard well upon evaluating it it looks like it’s been over fertilized creating fungus because my yard joins the neighbors yard. The neighbor is using a competitor well surprise surprise their yard has zero issues an our yards flow together! There’s a clear difference at lot lines where two different companies are treating two different yards. It’s not the issue of the bill is the issue of paying for something that I did not receive especially having a complete dirt backyard because of a mess up on a crew or something. But I have no clue what happen.Initial Complaint

On Nov 3rd, 2022, I received a call from Tony at Weed Man to offer lawn care winter fertilizer. During the call he asked to verify my email address, so I assumed he would email an agreement and/or information on what we discussed, but I didn't receive any information at all. He said they will do the first treatment in 5-7 business days, which should have been between Nov 10th - 14th. No one ever showed up during that time! During the Nov 3rd phone call, Tony offered to give me his direct phone number. I asked him to text it to me, and he said he would. However, he never did, and to date, I still do not have his contact information. Since no one showed up between Nov 10-14 as Tony promised, and since I never received any information, I assumed they forgot and did not put me on the schedule. So, I treated the grass myself on Nov 19th with a winter fertilizer and weed control. Then, on Nov 29th, I saw the back of a truck on the street in front of my home (off to the side), and then I saw a sign on my front lawn from Weed Man saying that they provided service. However, I never saw anyone on my lawn at all, just the back of the truck. If they treated my yard, I did not see them do it. I was definitely not expecting them to show up on Nov 29th, since it was way past the promised timeframe, and no information was sent to me. I was home on Nov 29th, and they did not bother to come to the door to let me know they were here, and they certainly did not let me know ahead of time that they would be coming on Nov 29. Very bad business practice!! Dishonest and unethical! The right thing would have been to call me or text me in advance to let me know they are coming to service my lawn, and I would have told them NOT to come. And now they expect me to pay their bill of $52.10. I wrote a detailed complaint to Sandra on Jan 3, 2023; but they haven't addressed my complaints at all, and they insist I owe money. I expect the statement to be cancelled with no money due!Business response

Hi *******,
Hope you are well.
Response to ID# ********
I believe we fulfilled ***** *****’s desired settlement and have written off her treatment She has a $0 balance with us. I did this on 1/31. The same day she filed the complaint. At that time I sent her a new account statement showing no money due. To respond to her statement. We did call her on 11/3. She did order the services. When she received her first invoice she did contact us stating she never ordered our services. I then in turn forwarded the recorded call she had with Tony ordering our services. Following, that she sent a list of issues that she had. All of which we handled with our normal business practices. As for treating her lawn, we were at her property on 11/29/22 at 9:12am. I have also forwarded her email acknowledging we a $0 balance.
Please let me know if there is anything else I need to do.
Thank you,
Sandra
