I was playing a skills game at a restaurant. The machine didn't credit me my money when I put my ticket in. I told them about it. I talked to someone. He told me to call the owner of the machine, VVS Vending. I called them. She told me the money was there. When I called to see when I could pick it up, she told me it wasn't there and VVS Vending was playing me. I told her what happened. She said it was there. I went to get it. She told me to sign the back of a ticket. I turned it over to look at the info on the ticket and she grabbed it and said I didn't need to look at it. I told I did need to look at it before I signed it. She told me it was for $**. I thought it was for $**. I left and called VVS Vending, told her what happened. She said it was for $**. I said I will accept that amount owed to me, but I asked her if there was another way to get my money because I felt harassed, bullied, and afraid to go back there to get my money. She said no. I asked if the service machine person for VVS Vending could give me it. She said no. I saw there is a complaint with BBB about a similar situation with a machine and the service machine person ended up giving it to them. I am asking VVS Vending to ensure a refund of my money (a customer of their machines) in a safe and responsible manner. The police departments do not do civil stand-by, and it cost too much money to hire a security person for civil stand-by.

    Business response

    05/06/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/19) */ VVS picked up her refund that was waiting for her at the bar she was playing at and VVS personally delivered it to her on 4/19/22. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/04/20) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I spoke with a male from VVS Canteen about getting my money back, finally, from March 25th. We agreed on a time and place to make the transaction because I refused to go back to the restaurant/bar due from the treatment I received there. A VVS Canteen employee and I met at that time and location. He handed me $** cash. I told him it was suppose to be for $**. He told me he gave the female at the restaurant/bar a ticket for $**, not $**. I thought the ticket was for $** from the beginning of this. I took the money and left. My complaint to BBB was brought up by both males. The male I talked to on the phone was agitated towards me about it. Thank you BBB for helping me get my money back for the correct amount and in a non-hostile environment.
