I am currently a member at this gym *** *** **** *** *****. There has never been a rule regarding anyone using any equipment for a limited amount of time. Yesterday Jan 25th 2023 approximately 630 an employee came up to me in front of the rest of the gym members accused me of bantering another member called me a **** in front of other member due to an altercation the day prior. The day prior a gym member was upset that both benches were being used for a longer period of time that he would have liked. I explained to the patron that I would be done in 6 min or so. He decided to yell in front of everyone cussed and was frustrated **** ******* **** as well as me so I explained to him he can choose another gym if he thought we were being rude to him regarding time on equipment. Alexa the front desk girl who called me * **** *** *** **** ********** when approaching me was the one who yelled at me again accused me of bantering and taking too much time. She stated there is rules that only 30-40 min can be on every piece of equipment. Again I have been with this business for *** years and never have I or any other member heard of this rule. We are powerlifters and we bring our tripods in to film our sets and work to send to our coaches to make sure everything looks correctly and to avoid potential injury. I explain this to Alexa and she stated she didn't care and that "we" take too long. ** **** **** ** *** ***** ******** ** * ************ ********* ** **** ******** ******* ** **** **** ** *********** *** ****** We are athletes we are not your typical gym goers and again tried to explain this and she got louder and louder stated I can't argue with her and I can't banter or have discussions with other members. I explained this is public gym and we have the right to speech but that it must be respectful. She got her manager she helped calm all the parties down. I called the next day to see if there's a happy medium we can find and the manager stated she would talk to someone.
