  I've reported this issue to the city officials of Lincoln, Nebraska multiple times. The problem gets cleaned up for a bit but then happens again. Last week (10-17-24) there were 4 semi trailers belonging to Sysco Lincoln Food Distributor parked on Cattail Road. Today, this morning (10-22-24) there are 5. Cattail Road is NOT Sysco's personal staging area for just trailers and it creates an issue when the rest of us are trying to get to work down that same street with semi tractor trailers coming in to load/unload with empty trailers parked on the street and we all have to maneuver around them at the same time. If it were an individual doing this it certainly would not be tolerated so why is Sysco constantly doing this. I myself had a close call last winter because of this due to the street not being able to be properly cleared of snow/ice because of the empty trailers parked there. As stated, I've reported it to my city officials and it gets taken care of for a while but then they go back to doing it.

  I am responding to the complaint and would like to note Sysco Lincoln does not park any empty trailers along Cattail road or Kingbird Rd.  Our trialers would be clearly marked with Sysco Lincoln on them.  We have parking within our facilities which is gated and our trailers should always be within that fenced off area, there should never be a Sysco Lincoln trailer dropped on either Cattail Rd or Kingbird.  I will say though we have over the road carriers who park along kingbird and maybe cattail when they show up in the middle of the night.  We have agreements with alot of freight companies and they are able to drop their trailers within our fenced off area which is off of the roadways.  This is done on a daily basis.  We do not have agreements with all carriers and if someone does drop their trailer and leave for awhile, we do not typically know that.  We are aware of the tight areas along this roadway and do our best to ensure we keep it clear as we can, we emphasize for the parking on the south side of kingbird.  I will make sure i communicate out with all of our team here to help with keeping this roadway clear and to emphasize the importance of not blocking the roadway.  We will remind any of our shuttle drivers to not drop trailers along these areas, which they shouldnt be but will remind them.  I do have the email contact for the comsumer  and would like to make contact with them so i can give them my contact information so i can be contacted in the future with any concerns they may have, if they would agree to this,  thank you so much.
