            Paid for cleaning of apartment that was leaving, to receive security deposit, resulted in receiving less then spent for required cleaning service. Resulted in losing more money then security deposit.

            Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/04/06) */ Consumer complains that they paid for "cleaning of the apartment", professional carpet cleaning is a requirement of the lease. The lease states, "TENANT is responsible for payment of professional carpet cleaning upon move out. Receipt for said cleaning shall be provided to LANDLORD and/or LANDLORD'S Agent. Damage deposit may be retained by LANDLORD for non-payment of rent and/or for damages or cleaning costs suffered by LANDLORD if TENANT defaults on any portion of this lease." Tenant had the carpets professionally cleaned and provided a receipt at the time of move out, however the kitchen appliances, bathroom, windows, blinds and doors were left dirty and had to be professionally cleaned. The total amount for professionally cleaning of the unit was $******. $*** was charged to tenant deposit. Along with cleaning the HVAC system which was clogged with a filthy filter which was also the tenants responsibility to keep clean. There were 3 broken blinds that required replacement as well. The tenant did receive a portion of his deposit back minus the items listed above. We did not report this account to a credit bureau as the tenant does not own any money to the Landlord.
