On July 24 I notified the business representative that the delivery of the moving boxes should be on the 31st starting at 11am. One of the movers called me on that day asking me to start earlier because of the heat. I warned them that I needed to stop by the main office to complete paperwork first and the delivery time was set up with the managers of the new building. I tried to be flexible but Select Van charged me the half hour the movers had to wait until I finished the mentioned paperwork. Below is the copy of my July 24 email From: ******** ********** ****** Sent: Wednesday, July 24, 2024 10:23 AM To: ***** ******** Subject: Moving in Information Hello *****. I talked to the property management of my new place and I wanted to share with you the most recent update on this moving. The new place in Omaha will not let me in until July 31st after 11am. I think that we can keep our initial schedule for the moving splitting it in two phases. First one is to be completed on the 30th at around 9-10am. I will need your help telling me how to proceed with storing all the stuff for that night at your premises. Second phase would be to deliver the boxes at the assigned location, which is the one already I gave you but with additional notes after I sign the lease. Let me know what are your thoughts about this and if it okay to proceed with the business. I will get further details on the delivery address and building access shortly. Thank you for your attention reading this. *********

In regards *** ************ complaint.  We were made aware by our bank that *** ********** disputed the charge to his credit card in the amount of $202.50. The customer states that he was upset about being charged the half hour waiting.  We totally agree with him. The half hour waiting comes to a total of $67.50 but in the interest of good business we just did not dispute the charge card reversal of $202.50. We hope that this settles this dispute.  Our employees when out on a move are only doing what they are told.  After reviewing the matter the half hour should not have been charged.  Pleaser let me know if you have any questions.

More insigths to understand this complaint. It is hard to expect a formal apology from an abusive merchant.

Since you asked, I have a couple of issues I wanted to inform you about regarding this moving.

When unpacking the boxes, I realized that one of them was opened and an empty sweet container was left inside after being taken. I understand that the movers need to drink and eat while they are on a shift, but doing so at the expense of the person running the business is unacceptable. They should have told me about this incident to avoid writing this.

The other issue is a parcel that was delivered on the 30th to an apartment on the same floor during the loading process and that was misplaced among my stuff. I revised all the boxes delivered to my place and the parcel is not here. The property management contacted me to kindly return it to their Lincoln building since the cameras recorded one of the movers taking the packet. I hope this can be resolved to avoid further actions from them.

Last but not least, I told ***** and you that the delivery should be on the 31st starting at 11am. One of the movers called me yesterday asking me to start earlier because of the heat. I warned them that I needed to stop by the main office to complete paperwork first and the delivery time was set up with the managers of the new building. I tried to be flexible but I noticed that you charged me the half hour the movers had to wait until I finished the mentioned paperwork. Let me know please how can we solve this problem.
    Thank for reading this.

Please know that we have been very cooperative with this customer in this matter. The amount of the reversal he put on the credit card was beyond the half hour he wanted. We feel that this was more then generous. As far as the eating of items in a packed box that was packed by the customer.  Please know that our employees would have to open taped up boxes and look for food to eat with out knowing what is in the box.  This would be way out of bounds and the movers on this job said that this did not happen. It was a 100 degree day and the last thing they needed were snack cakes.  Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions. I am ** ******* assistant and can be reached at *************

    Thank you,
