We moved from Omaha to an out of state town 2 hours away on 11 Sep 2024. There were so many issues wrong with this move that it can not be possibly listed here. First, their advertised "Professional Packing Services" turned out to be an expensive waste of money. The "professional packers" were, in reality, the same boys who loaded the trucks, and of the four who were assigned, only one (Edward) was actually competent at the task. A prime example of the lack of professionalism is the fact that they packed a bag of what was clearly TRASH, not bothering to obtain my input if there was any confusion. Second, communication with the moving team was difficult, given one only spoke Spanish and the second team of two arrived with music blocking out my speech, constantly requiring me to have them remove their headphones/ear buds so I could repeat what I said to them. Third, other than Edward, their concern/care for the customer was horrendous. Items were dropped and subsequently walked upon until I picked the items up; they took screws from the dresser mirror and failed to attach them with the dresser (and in fact are still not to be found); they "were not trained" in how to move my refrigerator from the basement, resulting in it being dropped nearly three feet from the stair railing and ultimately being left in Omaha. Fourth, there was a constant effort to upsell, even to the extent of offering to send a THIRD truck at the cost of $1700, even though one of the two initial trucks arrived at the new house 3/4 full, the other 1/2 full, with my entire basement left untouched other than the washer/dryer (and the now unavailable refrigerator). Finally, and closely related to the fourth item, it seems company policy to blame the customer for any negative issues or errors. I can not, WILL NOT, ever recommend this company (especially the Omaha branch) to anyone. Even more frustrating, I have the tiniest of hope that this company will do anything to make things right.

They did not completely finish my move. Unfortunately, one of the three movers became ill mid to late afternoon and did not work for an hour of the move (and had considerably slowed down the hour before). I saw them closing the truck up and had to insist on then loading some of the larger items left. They told me they could have a truck come and lget the remaining items the next day (which I knew would not be accurate, and later confirmed with the manager no truck would be available). I subsequently had to have two truck loads of items moved to my new home. I received no credit for the time the one mover was unable to work. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this moving company to anyone under any circumstance.

            06/26/2024

Hello, We sincerely apologize that we did not meet up to your standards during the move. After reviewing our contact logs with you on the day of the move, it was noted that there were more items than expected, and that the crew also took an additional trucks worth of items for you. Unfortunately, our estimates are only as accurate as the information provided during the estimate process, where numerous items were not spoken about with our team. It is very important that we get the exact information of what, where, and when we are moving to refrain from issues on moving day. It was also stated that you were going to do a chargeback on your credit card due to the movers not physically being able to get the remaining items on the day of the move, so we unfortunately would not be able to offer any credit due to this statement. Please also refer to our Pre-Move Letter sent after the move was booked to review our processes and procedures regarding this.

Two Men And A Truck has been paid and payment received. The above does not dispute I was charged for time not provided by one of the movers. My disputie that I was charged for time not provided does not provide a valid reason to not address charging for services not rendered. Again, for other folks moving, I do not recommend this mover and please beware.

It should be zero star. They broke the TV and no one is willing to receive the call or respond to the voice message. Won’t recommend this company for any of my friends and colleagues. Even independent moving help services would have done a great job

            05/21/2024

Hi Sathya! We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and the damage to your TV. We are glad that we could come up with a resolution with a replacement TV. We hope that we have earned your trust back and would love it if you would still recommend us to friends and family! Sincerely, Two Men and a Truck.

Should be zero stars. I lined up Two Men and a Truck to move my daughter from one apartment to another in Omaha. The actual movers did a good job. As far as the billing department they are a bunch of frauds. My bill had an extra hour of move time, $40 fuel surcharge and a $75 Valuation free. $311 of extra fees. Going through the room by room assessment my bill should have been around $500-600, instead my daughter had to sign off on a $800 bill. Finally after two days of continuous calls I got a call back. Only thing he was willing to do is credit the $75. (After supposedly going back to listen to the recorded tape). If you plan on using this company I would get everything in writing. Plenty of other options I would go with another company.

            04/30/2024

Two Men and a Truck: Hi Alan! We are happy to hear that the movers did a good job, but apologize that you were not satisfied with the billing. We understand that moving can be stressful and that things can be missed while prepping for the big day - that is why we request that you read over your Pre-Move Letter and Estimate to make sure you are fully prepared and know the complete scope of work/billing before the movers arrive. In that Pre-Move Letter, it does state that we do charge a Fuel Surcharge and a Valuation fee, as well as information stating that the estimate could go up or down. This is why it is important to elaborate on longer walks, getting a detailed estimate list, and knowing it is a quote and not the final bill. Although you may not be satisfied with the resolution, I am glad that we could assist with refunding that Valuation Fee.

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible, really Horrible experience. Six pieces of furniture with MAJOR DAMAGE. One of those was a $3,000 bed room set which had part of the top of the dresser torn off and a major gouge in the foot board. Another piece was a leather/vinyl office chair with all of the material torn off both arms of the chair. The other four pieces had gouges and major deep scratches. Another ten pieces of furniture had significant scratches. Almost all of the shelving pegs are gone from the book shelves. With entering the house using both the front door and the door thought the garage we now have two badly gouged door frames as the employees maneuvered through the doors by sound. If the piece of furniture or box hit the left side of the door frame they would move to the right until it hit the right side of the door frame then adjust back to the left to get though the door. And we have $12,400 worth of items missing. During the 30 short days allowed for submitting claims I asked for more time so I could get more accurate prices and get prices for all of the audio and visual equipment rewired as well as rewiring all of my computer and associated equipment - - none of which should have been touched. I found all of my audio and visual equipment stuffed in a closet in the house I was moving from. I got a yes answer from the lady handling all of the damage claims. And the real bomb hit when we totaled the cost of all of the items missing with a total of $12,400. I don't have their response with me at this time but I think they offered me $260. Never-Never again will I select a firm to do work for me without checking the responses on the Better Business Web Site. The big question is how are they still in business while providing this kind or HORRIBLE SERVICE - - - - look at the other customer reviews. NOTE: Can you rate a company with out considering customer feedback? I looked at the A+ rating and said OK . . . If I had read the custo

Hi Roger, we are sorry that you were unsatisfied with your move. We can assure you we do everything in our power to provide top notch, 5-star service but we apologize you feel we didn't deliver that. Following our phone call conversations/emails with you, we did offer you a monetary amount to help cover the items that did have slight damage, chat with you about it, and forwarded this claim along to our insurance to help expedite the process for you. Following our notes, after this offer you called our office and spoke with our General Manager as well. We have truly done our best to help make this as smooth as possible and come to a fair settlement. Have a great day.

Terrible experience. Inexperienced Movers that did not know how to drive truck. Charged for gas , time spent driving from their headquarters. A beautiful floor lamp was not protected during the 3 mile move and broke. We didn’t hear from the company and finally called. Then, they offered us a ridiculously low amount without ever establishing value We were offered $30 . The floor lamp is worth around $200. we have tried to call several times after that to no avail. Christina is the manager of customer service and she was rude and offered a ridiculously low amount

Thank you for choosing TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® for your moving needs. We apologize that your move did not take place without incident and would like to address the concerns that you mentioned. After reviewing the claim, the $30 is what we can offer at this time with the minimal information received regarding this claim. It does look like our claims department is waiting on a response back regarding this. If you can contact NFM for a copy of the receipt and provide that, which they carry for multiple years, we can then further assess the claim to see what we can do to get this resolved and make this right by offering a different payout resolution, or replacing the lamp cover.

First the day of the moving our furniture was never covered or wrapped but with that being said we let that go. We also listed that we had beds that needed to be unassembled and they had no tools so we had to provide them with our tools/drill. We let that go. Mattress covers were made available to them to cover our mattresses. My king size mattress cover was taken off because they said the mattress was easier to carry that way. The guys were under sized knowing that they had a king size mattress to carry and they ended up dragging my mattress from outdoors to the inside of our apartment. In the process of delivering my king size mattress it ended up damaged. They offered me $150.00 but it cost me about $1000.00 for the top mattress alone. I declined and the only other choice or option was for them to fix it in which they say it's stated in there policy. My mattress was picked up but came back worse then when it left (lumpy and bad stitching). I placed another call and they had to return to pick it up a second time. This time I could see a little improvement but still lumpy. I mentioned this to them but now I will have to wait a while for it to smooth out. I asked for the $150 to get a nice pillow topper and they said too late I had already taken the option to fix it. It's one or the other. Today I get an email saying that the Moving Service Agreement ends today, 12/1/2023 and that they will be putting $50 back on our credit card. Now this has been going on since March/April of this year. We have used them at least 5 or 6 times paying at least or over a $1000 each time and referring them to our family members as well. If I was you I would go with another company like Black Belt. They also offer senior citizens discount which two men and a truck do not.

Thank you for choosing TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® for your moving needs. We apologize that your move did not take place without incident and would like to address the concerns that you mentioned. After reviewing the claim, We had offered you $150.00 as an appearance payout or to be repaired by a trusted vendor. After declining the payout, the best option at that point would have been to repair the item since the item was not considered a total loss and could still be used. We apologize that you were not satisfied with the repairs made to mattress and hope that we had instilled faith with you after offering the additional compensation for the inconvenience.

            Customer Response

            12/10/2023

Yes, you did offer me $150 but who in their right mind would accept that when the pillow top mattress cost around $1000. I only had this mattress for a little over a year. I am a single female ( senior citizen) sleeping on this mattress. I gave you multiple times to have it fixed and it still came out lumpy and hard to sleep on. Really the point is, you didn't pick it up that way. If your customer is dissatisfied with the work then you need to make it right to their satisfaction, not yours. Again, there are other movers out there. Please do your research.

The day of moving, two guys initially showed up for the 3 man job. The 3rd guy was dropped off late by another Two Men in a Truck truck. Not long after arriving, he ask to use the restroom and was in there for a really, really long time. That same guy was seen just standing around multiple times during our move. The truck was right behind me leaving the old neighborhood to go to the new house and then it disappeared. I waited at the new house at least 10 minutes before they showed up. After driving everything over to the new house, items being pulled off the truck were damaged. The guy that was late even disappeared in the new house for a really long time. I found additional damage after the movers left to the house itself and other pieces of furniture. I opened 13 damage claims. They told me that their policy is to fix it, yet the broken desk I let them take, still has not been returned after over a week. Each time I call in get blocked by the person that answers the phone and I cannot get through to the claims person. The claims person will not respond to my emails when asking for status on things. Seems to me like this company just wants to take your money and run. They will charge you for three guys full time even if only two are working full time, they will not give you a status or return your belongings and they will not answer your calls or respond to your emails about damages. Their communication seems to very lacking. I would not recommend them.

Well have called multiple times and have not ever recieved a call back. Keep getting the run around. It has been over a year the office people are a joke and don't give a crap. The women who are answering the phone are vary unprofessional. Beware use someone else. Not worth the hassle.

This is incorrect you have not reached out to me by email. I have reached out to you guys multiple times with phone calls and nobody has ever called me back. No thank you for the refund I just wanted people to know what kind of business you truly are the $125 doesn't even fix the glass that was broken on the antique china hutch.

I moved a month ago. A whole month ago...and still haven't seen anyone come to my new apartment and fix the furniture that broken and damaged. I moved from a studio apartment to a one bedroom that was only 10 minutes away from each other. I was quoted for 2 1/2 hours MAX. Why did it take them 4 hours to complete the move? It was the unloading that took the longest. In the process, one nightstand and dresser were damaged, and one floor lamp was broken. I called them three times to try and speak to the customer service rep and went back and forth with that person twice via email trying to file a claim about the damages and the reason it took them 4 hours to get it done. From what I was told, someone was supposed to come grab my lamp, repair it and return it back to me, and fix my nightstand and dresser (don't know how they could actually do that). I asked how that process would work and gave the day for whoever the heck to come and grab my lamp, but guess what? Haven't heard back from that person since. AGAIN, it's been ONE MONTH since I've moved.
