We purchased a 2017 V60 from Concord Volvo, and they even kindly offered to pick my girlfriend up to bring her to the dealership to finalize the transaction. Issues began when nobody contacted her about the pickup time and they showed up nearly three hours late, after telling us they'd be there around 9 am. After finding child care and a half day of work was missed, the car was purchased, in cash. Upon her mechanic inspecting the vehicle, it was clear that it had been in an accident due to the right fender being painted and replaced, as well as the hood being repainted. Both sway bar links were deemed unable to pass inspection, the brake rotors were rusty and noisy, and the right front door was coding and not working properly. Now all of this is fixable, however, when we spoke to the salesman he went out of his way to avoid responsibility, did nothing to attempt to remedy the situation other than seeing they'd take the car back and refund us. Did they offer to work with us on another car? No. The salesman even went so far as to complain about being a 74 year old man to try to invoke some pity. The sales manager Jon(sp?) refused to acknowledge that our mechanics' concerns were valid, and when I pointed out that the salesman had boasted that the car had been serviced by Volvo for the last few years, he didn't want to admit that the accident should have been reported. He also refused to have anything fixed, saying his service department passed the vehicle for NH inspection. Oddly, he then stated that due to the issues we brought up, he would probably be wholesaling the vehicle. An incredibly confusing scenario: refusing to fix or agree with another mechanic, but trusting him enough to wholesale the vehicle? An incredibly disappointing experience, I guess getting handed 22k wasn't a big enough purchase to warrant any consideration on their part. I challenge them to refute anything posted here; play the recorded conversations, repost the emails!

Thank you for providing your feedback regarding your girlfriend's recent purchase. After your mechanics review we understood that your girlfriend wasn't 100% comfortable owning this vehicle, especially given the previous accident that was unknown to us. Vehicles of this age are inspected for New Hampshire safety inspection and sold as-is not including any warranty. The vehicle does pass New Hampshire safety inspection but we understood your mechanic felt that it did not pass Maine safety inspection standards. Due to the combination of the accident and items your mechanic found we felt that letting your girlfriend return the vehicle was the best course of action. We don't normally accept the return of a vehicle sold as-is, but we made an exception in this case. We're sorry this purchase did not work out. If there's anything else we can do please reach out to me directly at ###-###-####.

    Regards,
