I have a new complaint against Shawn's work. He installed a fence for me in mid December 2021. This was the first thing he did. He provided no invoice or receipt. I recently had the gate dug up and panel removed to have a delivery. Yet again, another professional was appalled by his work and commented that things were not level, the correct screws were not used, enough boltsb were not used, holes were not deep enough, and not enough concrete was poured. We've corrected one post. The entire thing will need to be corrected. I'm curious how Shawn will make this my fault. His wife was eager to jump on this job as it was the slow season.

    Business response

    05/23/2022

This woman uses multiple names, and has told us stories about making her ex husband have an "accident" with a wood chipper and an axe, and we in fact later learned that the man in the story is actually deceased due to an accident with a wood chopper or an axe. She posted a photo of a broken fence panel that is NOT the way she describes what "broke" here.

I will need to see the other "contractor's" invoice and written assessment of any work we have performed that he/she deems incorrect, because we know this woman is not being truthful, and we would of course want to take legal action against anyone's slanderous or libelous statements about myself, my company, or my work, which by the way is done above and beyond industry standards, and in ******** case was done for pennies on the dollar because we felt bad for her coming from a filthy trailer in Vermont and her mother buyer her this run down property which clearly shows she did not have a lot of money and in an attempt to help her out on a low income budget, we did what we could. ****** still has an outstanding balance of $2,500 that cannot be collected unless we decide to take legal action against her because she had to be blocked on social media etc because of her constant provocations and stalking. We typically work on high end properties without issue, and ******** property should actually be condemned because of its condition and the filth inside and out. She has a history with several people filing restraining orders against her and we have also considered doing so while keeping detailed records of her unstable behavior and provocations. She became unstable when we informed her that her leaking oil tank has contaminated the ground around her home and is now gotten to a point in which she is required by law to report it to the EPA and have it properly cleaned up by the state. We initially stopped the leak and told her to hold off because it was not that bad, but once it was assessed to be much more of a problem than we initially believed, she became unstable.  As of now and for the record, I do not know if she has notified the state of the leak and contaminated area, but again by law this needs to be done. Finally, I no longer desired to continue to do any other work for her after observing her using drugs in front of her two children, especially knowing the state has taken other children away from her for the same thing (abusing cocaine and marijuana) as a parent and grandparent myself, I found this behavior to be appalling to say the least. This is the source of her sudden issue with me, and the reason we will not continue to deal with her (not to mention the feces and other filthy working conditions) as I mentioned, we will need to see the written assessment from the other "contractor" and his paid invoice.
