I have had so much trouble getting bills from Elliot Health. Back in 2015 my son went to urgent care, we moved and did a forwarding address with ****, months later collections called stating I owed money. I never received a bill and kept asking for a bill so I could pay what I owed. Nothing ever came. 2024-son goes to urgent care, I can see all of the **** coming in, I received 1 physical bill in the mail. I go to pay, I can see other balances owed, but I only have paid the one bill that came. I have contacted customer service because my husband is listed as the guarantor, the bills don't show up under my account or my husbands account. **************** send a code so I can set up an account for my son-said I could see the bills under his account, I still see no bills. I requested physical bills, they sent an email to my son who is 16-like he is going to be paying the bills. I still have yet to get anything in the mail. customer service is a joke. I am done contacting them for physical bills, if I don't get a bill they will not receive payment. As of today I probably have $1000 outstanding-based off my **** and still have appointments for my sons injury. Send me bills to my address, email them to me or have the bills appear in my sons account like you said they would if I set up his own account.Elliot Health System Response

Treated me for chronic lower back pain since 2009 to 2019....however stopped giving me increases if oxycodone which is what they prescribed me....gave me no reason for the stopment of increase dosage...made me go through 5 years of pain and withdrawals which is a horror...since 2019 I have lived as a hermit with no quality of life I South out help with arbitration and the one in charge of the pain center Rise....both of them chose in favor of the nurse....what a surprise....I can't get treatment elsewhere she has said I have abused the pain medication which is totally a lie and false....wasn't even given a chance in my defense.... ****** ********Elliot Health System Response

A letter was sent to the patient, addressing his concerns. A thorough review of his medical record and concerns, determined the care he received was appropriate, and that he was offered other care plan/services, which he declined.Customer Response

Care I received 2 was appropriate....that's not true....they tried everything to stop my pain which I was born with a leg perthy disease....until they tried oxycodone until my surprise it worked...I was given treatment starting 2010 then in 2014 nurse Alcorn stopped giving me increases which is mandatory with this medication...I don't know what she told you but I was given no reason and she also made it impossible to go anywhere else....I was given no reason to why ...I continued until 2019 when Nurse Alcorn forced me to also find Suboxone due to the fact she didn't give me increases anymore....this went on for 5 years more then l was released cause if the Suboxone which I was already on for 5 years due to her stopping of my medication....again no reason for stopping my oxycodone in 2014...for 5 years 8 went through pain and withdrawals due to her ..nurse knew I was on both oxycodone and Suboxone for 5 years due to urine specimens each month for 5 years....I was not let go for 5 yesrs being on both medications which she knew I was on due to her....then she released me cause I was on Suboxone in 2019....which she knew I was on for 5 years......I am getting no satisfaction or answers from them....I don't know what shes telling you but I was given no reasonCustomer Response

I forgot to say yes I can go back but they refuse to give me the medication which worked and all they offer is what the tries in the beginning from 2009 to 2011 before being administered oxycodone....so even though I can go back I cannot receive the treatment that worked.............. I was seen 6/15/23 because my PCP told me to go due to ongoing chest pain, elevated BP, mild SOB and nausea. I was triaged by one of their nurses and not even 5 minutes into the visit and I quote "you're pretty young to be having these symptoms" completely unprofessional. She then asked me why I waited so long to be seen with these symptoms, I then responded and informed her of my families extensive cardiac history, which could be seen in my chart. Well, 6 hours in the ER with chest pain, mild shortness of breath, elevated BP and heart rate. I knew the moment she mentioned my age it was going to change the entire course of the visit. I ended up leaving. They couldn't even provide a blanket for a patient that had asked 2X within 45 minutes, so I ended up getting them one. A patient collapsed in the waiting room and not any of the staff noticed they had fallen to the floor until a visitor of the hospital said something.... The lack of response was jarring. I'm completely blown away with the way Elliot treated ALL of their patients tonight. I have been going to this hospital since the day I was born. I do not know what has changed, but the actions that took place tonight were completely unacceptable. The LACK of patient care is unlike anything I have ever seen, and I work in healthcare. I have no words for this hospital and I will not be returning nor will I recommend any of my family or friends to be treated here.Elliot Health System Response

I was seen in the Elliot ER department on 4/6/23. For hypertension. I was there for 8 hours waiting to see a doctor. At one point a resident PA came in and did a neurology assessment on me. She told me she was going to consult with the doctor. And they would be right in. I never saw her again. I kept asking the nurse why it was taking so long. She replied. "They see the most emergencies first. There why a guy next to me. He had a sore throat. He was in and out before I was. I would think high hypertension would be more serious than a sore throat. I will never go there again. Maybe that was their intentions. I went to the *** ER the next day. Was out in 2 hours. The staff there were excellent. Very attentive. There is no reason any person should sit in a ER for 8 hours. There is no reason the staff should be rude and uncaring. I would never recommend anyone to go there. Matter of fact. I would discourage it. The place didn't seem very clean. The curtain rooms are unbelievable. You could hear all conversations in the other parts. It was just a real bad experience going there and being there. I feel someone from the state go in. And watch how they do things. And why anyone should have to be there for that amount of time. And really did nothing for me. Very unsatisfied.Elliot Health System Response

The staff in the Emergency Department continually review the patients currently being treated and those waiting for treatment to assure patients with the greatest need are seen first. This can lead to longer than desirable waiting time for some patients who are not as acutely ill as others. This prioritization of patients can also delay staff’s ability to follow up with testing results, and closing out your ED visit. We thank you for coming to the Elliot for your care, be assured that we are working diligently to expand our staffing and facilities to meet the needs of our community to the best of our ability. We appreciate your understanding, and apologize that your experience in our Emergency Department did not meet your expectations.
