We came to them in Jaunary of 2022 to have our nearly 15 year old standard schnauzer euthanized. It was and has been a tough decision. He has renal failure, hasn't eaten in 5 days, isn't drinking, isn't sleeping and is at the end of his long life. His mobility issues are taking a toll and he's dragging a leg when walking. We knew it was time and wanted him to pass in peace and with dignity. We called ahead as per instruction. We called before we left the house. We were told there may be a small wait but they'd get us into a room and situated. We called when we arrived. An hour elapsed. We called to follow up and were told we couldn't be quoted a time to be seen. The person who answered the phone didn't have an ounce of compassion. She was rude. My husband explained we wanted our dog to pass with dignity and avoid a catastrophic emergency as Cypher was failing to thrive. We waited an additional 90 minutes and saw people come and go. We are absolutely disgusted with the lack of empathy and concern for our dog's medical status. The way we were treated is inexcusable. On a Sunday afternoon, I rushed my senior dog who's side was swollen & could not use her back legs suddenly. I filled out an online form before leaving the house describing the issues. We arrived 1/2 hr later and waited for 40 min for triage and the tech never took a temp! We waited a total of 4 hrs before we saw a Tech/Dr, my dog standing the entire time because she could not get up and down. They 'examined' my dog and told me that she was resisting restraint, but they could sedate her to take xrays and blood (it was now after 8pm, still had not taken a temp!). They aspired a cyst (without inquiry), gave her two injections, an antihistamine and a pain relief and we left choosing to see our wonderful vet at Henniker on Monday. When we arrived at Henniker, my dog's temp was 104 and her white blood count was 23,000...she was septic. They charged me $284, we waited 4 hrs for basically nothing. When I called days later to speak with a supervisor, she told me that she had read the file, we were treated in this manner because the dog was uncooperative. Really??? I would not recommend taking your pet to the Veterinary Emergency Center of Manchester. I am giving one star because I had no choice!Review from Charry M

My almost 15 y/o cat was suffering from kidney disease. Unfortunately on Wednesday things went downhill very quickly. I brought him to the Veterinary Emergency Center of Manchester. We were checked in and the cat was evaluated quickly to determine if he needed to be seen immediately. There was quite a wait, but there were many emergencies just like in a human ER. My cat was seen by Dr. Christina W***. Unfortunately my cat could not be saved. Dr. W*** and the staff were very professional, caring and were people I'd like to have around me if I were very sick. It is impossible for anyone to know how long the wait will be. They are good people.

I have newborn kitten with the problem. Came to EVC at June 5th with my cat and her litter. They made me wait for over 4 hours and finally they called me to appointment, doctor came and started complain that they can’t to give any help to so little kitten, just keep doing what I do. After that they said I have to pay because doctor gave me recommendations… Recommendations? Really? She said its better if I go to other animal hospital and that’s it, because they CAN’T to do anything with this size kitten! I tried to explain this on reception but they didn’t want to listen to me and interrupted all the time! So, today they called me and started to threaten me with collect… I totally sure that it’s under law, because they didn’t provide any service to me and my kitten! I waste 4 hours and made nervous my cat who is feeding the babies.
