Please ref attached letter sent to Mountain Edge detailing our issues and requested resolution. We have had no response to this letter, which was mailed twice, most recently w/delivery confirmation.... ****** ***** and I jointly own a timeshare at Mountain Edge, w/deeded usage in alternating years, which was purchased in 2006 for $22,410. We purchased a high-value week for trading purposes, with the understanding that the resort would maintain its Gold Crown trading status within the RCI network. Having moved to the West Coast a couple of years earlier, we concluded in mid-2022 that ownership in NH no longer made sense and approached Mtn Edge about buying back our timeshare. They declined and recommended we try to sell the timeshare thru a broker such as Sell My Timeshare Now. We contacted them and paid $3000 to list both shares. In September 2022, we received a letter informing us that the resort had been sold in 2021. It acknowledged that we had not been sent any notices about the new ownership, and gave us 6 weeks to decide which of 3 options to pursue: 1) keep the timeshare and pay annual fees, 2) cancel our timeshare ownership and pay $1250 per deed to cover legal costs to transfer both deeds to the new owner, or 3) try to sell our timeshares on the open market. We immediately called to remind them that we were already trying to sell the timeshares ourselves and asked for extra time, given the lack of advance notice. In October 2022, we received a copy of a letter dated March 7 laying out new rules for owner usage of the property. Shortly thereafter, we received notice that the partnership with RCI was being cancelled in 2023. This effectively eliminated any possibility of selling our timeshares outside the immediate area of the resort! In January 2023, we rec'd a bill for annual fees. We believe the new owners have intentionally misled us and neglected their obligation to communicate with us as timeshare owners since their purchase of the resort.

    Re:  Timeshare

The Mountain Edge Suites was purchased by another company over a year ago and have been deciphering the original arrangement with the member timeshares and RCI time shares.   The last letter of communication has been sent to all owners stating that we are remaining to stay with RCI.   Our members that left RCI are welcome to rejoin with RCI for them to utilize points and have the flexibility to travel nationally and globally.   There was another program that the original owner had started on his own that no longer exists.  Again, we are encourage members to rejoin RCI to obtain points and have the ability to travel when and where they like.

The letter also states that we are not doing buy backs and are offering an option of $500 to relinquish the time share if members wish too.  We reduced the price and the $500 is to cover lawyers fee.
