I sincerely have no idea how these people stay in business. I spent about 3 days trying to explain to them they sent me the wrong order. The customer service response? Please give me your address. I gave it to them, three times, and they can't figure out my address. Three times. It's not that hard. So now, I have books in a genre I don't read and I'm just trying to get it back to them. By the time I go into work they are closed, by the time I go by a store on my way home they are closed. Some poor guy who likes thrillers has his books at my home - and I'm in **. Not **. However, once again, these people cannot figure this out. This is too difficult for them. Please. Hire competent people. This isn't that difficult to get a dang address correct.

**********, just like their customer support. Several weeks after placing my order with this online bookstore and paying for 2 days shipping, I reached out to them and my school supplies were in back order no email or contact at all about this. Now courses begin in 4 days, they cannot tell me when my order will be fulfilled nor refund my money he so I can get my course materials elsewhere. DO NOT ORDER YOUR ****** SUPPLIES THROUGH THIS COMPANY!!!

This is an absolute terrible company to work with. I have been on hold for almost 2 hours and no one will answer the phone. There tracking information of my child's book is poor at best. She is in her 3rd week of class and still doesn't have a book or code to get in the Lab section. I paid $75 out of my own pocket so she could access it so she wouldn't miss an assignment. I have sent messages to their online forum, to the email address that they recommend and their corporate email and have received nothing. If you are a college using them to manage your students books, you may want to consider using someone else. POOR Customer service!!!1

If I could give them 0 stars I would. They offer students a "deal" on books that can be purchased from the publisher at a lower cost and if you want to access the material you MUST agree to let them use and sell your information they collect through cookies. If you dont give them consent to collect and sell your data you can not access the books you paid for!! IF you need a good place to buy and use college material use Pearson+... They are the publisher of most college textbooks and you can access ALL of your books for one subscription fee of less than 100$ ... F*$k ***********************************************

Back in September of 2020, my son purchased an online book and Bartleby attached their subscription to it. This was not something that my son wanted or needed; they attached it taking advantage of an unwitting teenager, who didn't notice. He used my credit card for the purchase of the book and therefore my credit card has been charged. So, on top of it all Bartleby is charging me for a subscription that I never authorized the purchase for. They have been charging us $9.99 a month for this subscription, though we have never once availed ourselves of their service. Additionally, they have never contacted my son via email or letter to discuss this subscription. I wrote to Bartleby's customer support on 3/16/22, mentioning to them that we didn't understand the charge and that no one in my household has ever requested this subscription. That's when they tied the account to my son and that he put the subscription in the cart, along with a book he'd purchased. They then said the following: "We understand your concern at the charges. We found an account linked to the email 'son's email inserted'. The subscription was purchased online on 'www.mbsbooks.com' by adding Bartleby Write to the cart. The first month was offered for free and thereafter billed $9.99 monthly until cancelled. Please note, the terms of the subscription were stated upfront at the time of purchase and we are therefore, unable to issue a refund but have closed the account to avoid future billing.Bartleby Support We feel robbed. There is no other way to explain it. This company makes its money by singling out kids going off to college. They add a "free subscription" to a cart and then pretend that what they're doing is somehow legal; it's morally corrupt, and they know exactly what they're doing. In the interest of the law, someone needs to do something about this. I've read numerous stories about this company. It appears that they use this tactic often.***************************
