I made a CD 11 Month as of November 13, 2023 for sum of $107,000. The bank issued a cd with maturity date of October 13, 2024. October 13, 2024 is Sunday and all banks are closed and no bank business can be transacted. AS per Bank website their policy states "You will have seven calendar days from maturity date to withdraw your funds or your certificate will automatically roll over". So per their Policy I had until October 20, 2024 to withdraw my funds before the bank has a default right to roll over. I was in the bank on October 21, 2024 at 9 am and the bank had already roller over the CD as of October 13, 2024 without give me the opportunity to withdraw my funds penalty free. The bank charged me a penalty of $2000 to withdraw my own funds which i should have been refunded without penalty.

I'm a small business owner. I have had trouble depositing checks to BCB bank remotely since I opened my account a year ago. I visited them several times because of this issue. The issue continued. I attempted to deposit a small check remotely. BCB banks system did not accept the check. A few days later I tried again with the same check, the check was accepted. Then original deposit which was initially rejected by BCB cleared. The new deposit of same which was accepted did not clear because the rejected checked cleared. They charged me a fee of $20.00 for their systems error. I spoke to several customer service agents at BCB bank. I went to my branch. I wrote to them several times, no response. No one at BCB will help resolve this error in their system and return my $20.00

On 2/23/2023, ************** deposited a Check into his business account and it was returned to the bank for insufficient funds on 2/27/23. The chargeback was processed against the account and a $20.00 fee was assessed.

On 3/24/2023, ************** deposited another check in the amount of $3.78 into his business account and the check was returned to the bank for Duplicate on 3/29/23. The chargeback was processed against the account and a $20.00 fee was assessed.

************** is stating the check was deposited into his BCB Account Twice, however we only find one deposit.  **************** returned the item to BCB community Bank, which means this check was either processed by another bank or returned in error.  ************** should contact the maker of the check to ascertain if it was returned in error.

Branch Staff spoke to ************** on a few occasions to explain the issue. The bank has no record of a written complaint. Since the *** assessed was not a bank error, it was not returned to the customer.

In response to the complaint, the account in question is a checking account held by 2 individuals opened in 2010. The account was not opened for a social club. On 03/10/2022, ************** came to the 40th Street branch to close this account due to the passing of **************. *******************************************, joint owner, was informed that she was only entitled to half of the balance due to the relationship of the account and that she needed to obtain a Tax Waiver from the ******************* in order to receive the remaining balance in the account. ************** withdrew $153.06,which was half of the balance, on 3/11/22. Messages were placed on the account on 3/10/2022. The branch made numerous attempts to contact the joint owner to obtain the Tax Waiver and close out the account. The bank will waive the requirement for a tax waiver. A letter was mailed to the customer on 4/5/2023 asking her to contact the bank to close out the account.

I am rejecting this response because: these are only excuses. *************************** was there FOUR times, I was always with her because I was there close to a dozen. THEY WERE GIVEN A TAX WAIVER!  This was day one, I  provided it! I bent over backwards to appease those girls but they were so ignorant of the law one told me to be ***************** beneficiary to receive the money! That's not how it works.

The account was a personal account opened by 2 ladies privately for their social group. Check the records, several times the name on the account next to ************** changed as the women passed.

I  am executor of  Mrs ****** estate so can act on her behalf. I HAVE PROVIDED all documentation day one. I was warned by a lawyer this was likely to happen as many bank employees are ignorant in such matters.  *************************** is willing to sign AGAIN !

I do not agree to contact the bank, this settles NOTHING. I will gladly go in to pick up the prpared check and close the account,  with *************************** if requested but according to the lawyer I am entitled to ************** share.
