I had an incredibly frustrating experience with ******* ****, who was hired through American Home Shield to repair or replace my HVAC unit. After agreeing to take the job and ordering the replacement furnace, *** repeatedly set dates to install it but failed to show up each time. He would not respond to calls, texts, and voicemails and offered no explanation for the no-shows.When I escalated the issue to American Home Shield, they contacted him, but he offered nothing but excuses, including outright lies, and still nothing was done to resolve the situation. After months of delays, I was left without heat in the winter, so I had no choice but to hire a reputable local company to install a new HVAC system, costing me thousands of dollars out of pocketmoney that was never reimbursed by AHS.Meanwhile, *** received a free furnace from AHS, which I doubt theyll bother to return to the supplier, and he likely got paid for the installation that never occurred. After this debacle, I canceled my policy with AHS, especially after discovering that they have over ****** negative reviews. It seems this is a recurring issue with ***, as there are also complaints about his work through Choice Home Warranty.Honestly, I dont know how *** stays in business, but the takeaway here is clear: read the reviews and do your research before hiring any contractor. If you look him up on Yelp you will see thirteen ONE star reviews, one TWO star review, and one five star review which I assume is fake. Note that he also has a C rating here. He also has no affiliation with Abacus in *****, an obviously large and well reviewed company, even though he listed their website as his on BBB and on my Nest Thermostat.

As anybody can see by reading all of the yelp reviews of ******* **** and Abacus of *****************, my experience is far from unusual. He also forgot to mention when I texted saying I am leaving for work I also said my wife is home and here is her number. But don't let the truth get in the way of a long rambling story. I don't believe he had any intention of doing the installation as he would never commit to a date or time frame whatsoever. Meanwhile the company I hired myself did the job one week later, and I am very happy with them. Seriously, do not waste your time with ***.

I cannot emphasize enough how easy our lead engineer made this project. It was large and complicated in scope and *** handled every aspect perfectly. Having a lead engineer with multi trade licenses to coordinate the multiple parts with written updates is a wonderful business model. I wish all contractors conducted their business this way.
