I ************ apartment that had had a small water issue that had been resolved. A potential tenant came and asked whether she could run a test. I agreed and and she brought a test kit and wiped up some dust and sent it in to EMSL Analytical. The test came back wildly positive for several types of mold. Since I had not cleaned the apartment since doing construction I wanted to retest it after cleaning. I was alarmed at the test results and cleaned the apartment thoroughly and ordered a test kit (which cost $250) online. After researching mold testing (I'm a physician) I learned that according to the *** the **** tests are not designed for home testing. This is not stated anywhere on the website. I decided that I did not want to run the test, and called the company, but was told that their "policy" is to not refund money once the test is ordered. This company falsely advertises its tests as appropriate for home testing even though this is not the case. Since I am not running the test I want my money back. This whole thing is a scam.Business response

EMS Analytical, **** continues to send me unsolicited mail after I have written to the company several times and asked to be removed from their mailing list.Please remove my name and address from your mailing list IMMEDIATELY!!!Business response

The complaint has now been fully addressed. EMSL found the complainant's info in the system and has marked them as Do not Solicit. They will not receive mail going forward.
