    Please please becareful buying Megabus tickets. You will not get your money back trying to cancel because of an emergency.I did not know their policy of refund changed. (Took Megabus before COVID which was years ago).Only option is to change trips which I cannot do. Your money will be totally gone (free easy money for them). ****** got easy cancellation service if people having an emergency so I will stick with them, pssh even Greyhound got better policy service for people cancelling because of an emergency and their bus service are terrible also.I can believe their legal tatic they did is very scheming. No wonder there is so much complaint and in the verge of ************** your tickets at your own risk. Suprise the tickets are ***** Pan Buses and they don't give the option to choose seats. This dors not make any sense What in the world?PLEASE BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

    I previously had a great experience, and was shocked by my last trip. Bus took over two hours to come, and I was waiting in 30 degree weather. No traffic or weather, and no refund (I had to make different travel arrangements). When I looked into cancelling the second ticket (booked round trip) I saw that THERE IS NO WAY TO CANCEL TRIPS WITH A REFUND, even if several days in advance! I thought that was appalling. Spend a few extra dollars and buy tickets somewhere else.

    Very unhappy a trip I booked since July 10th for Thanksgiving and August 10th respectively were both abruptly cancelled and supposedly refunded on Nov.8th. The nerve to add insult to injury They are not refunding the $3.99 booking fee Still made money off me with no service provided. Forced to make other last minute reservation for Thanksgiving and esp. **** because I already have reservations at the resort. This was truly in poor taste. Megabus and its affiliate should be ashamed of themselves. They truly don't value customers. Only stating Operations issue. I feel they could have made these decisions effective Jan 2025 and not in between busy holiday season. WHAT A DISGRACE

    Oh where do I start? I guess with the fact that Megabus is in Chapter ************************** name only. So if you took a pre COVID Megabus and had a good trip - that company is basically not extant. The different destinations are now serviced by various regional bus companies; in my case **************. I basically wouldn't be caught dead taking a ****** Pan bus; I still thought it was basically Megabus "powered" by **************. WRONG. It was ****** Pan. I was to depart from *******************************; a lovely garden spot of our dear city - not. Basically you run in and out of it as quickly as you can. That's not Megabus' fault but when I got there and saw what the situation was and how low rent it was combined with *************** I canceled my weekend rather than subject myself to 5 hours on that bus. When I tried to cancel my return seat I was informed that you can't cancel Megabus tickets.FULL STOP. What the heck? I suppose it was in the small print I agreed to but what a SCAM. A reasonable person would assume this business acts like most transportation companies that allow cancelltaion win a reasonble amout of time. I am so disgusted by this company and am not sure how they are able to legally transact business this way especially with the oversight of Chapter 11. BEWARE AND DON'T BOOK!

    On 8/15/24 at 11am, less than 24 hours of my schedule trip, I received an email from Megabus concerning my trip from *** to ** on 8/16/24; the email stating the below. It seems that Megabus already knew effective 8/16, all trips in the northeast will have to be transferred to another company.Valued Customer, Your ********************** trip is moving to ***** Pan Bus Lines Dear Traveler, Effective August 16th, all Megabus schedules between ***, ******, ********* and ************* will be operated by ************** Bus Lines. To avoid disruption to your travel plans, we need to transfer your reservation to one of their available trips. Please follow the link provided to reschedule your trip at no additional charge. Be aware that pick-up and drop-off locations may differ as well as the available schedules. While we regret any inconvenience, this change ensures you have a seat on your preferred departure. ************** is a fourth-generation, American family-owned company with one of the best reputations for reliability, customer service and safety in the industry. Megabus and ************** have been working together for many years, and we are confident that you will have a great experience with them. Reminder: Please rebook your trip now to secure your preferred travel time.Why they did not inform me in advance? In less than 24 hours, I had to revise my entire plan and decided to not take the trip on 8/16/24. When I call them to request for a refund or store credits (if refund option is not available), I was told both options are not possible. This is not satisfactory customer service in my humble opinion. Especially there is no fault of the customer when they decided to switch bus operations. If they had informed me sooner, at least 48 hours, I would have been able to make changes and reschedule with them. This was not the case; hence, I am writing this review to let the public know my experience and how you as consumers should seriously consider when buying tickets from them.

    Stranded in **************** in Katy *** Mega bus will drop off but not allow passengers to board to *******. Cant book on web or App leaving ***************************************** to *******. I called and recorded the entire conversations with **************** and supervisor who was rude and disrespectful as well as unaccountable and non accommodating. I was told sorry youre going to have to find an alternative. On your own. I said but Im stranded ***** the Supervisor says the trip is too short so we dont offer the option. I said but its leaving to go to ******* anyways from there, cant I offer cash or can you speak with a driver via call to help me? The call drops

    My kid had a very bad experience traveling from ***************, **. The bus was delayed by ******************************** the middle of no where, it broke down at 8:30 PM. The driver mentioned that the replacement bus was arriving in another 45 minutes and was not forthright in providing the right status. The kids were forced to wait on the side of the road for over 3 hours with no food or water! The replacement bus arrived at 11:45 PM and the bus reached ****** at around 1 AM.I am very concerned on the safety standards, the poor maintenance of these buses.Extremely callous attitude to safety, honesty and transparency.

    Megabus is a very dishonest company, scamming people online for their services. Its terms and conditions are very bad, as well as the customer service. People need to be very careful when accessing their site online through promotional emails, at least in ******. It will take you automatically to the US website and if you are not aware, you will end up purchasing services in ****** in US dollars. The company places all the responsibility on customers when it should not be the case. It is their responsibility to ensuring ********* access the right website and purchase services in CAD, otherwise they are breaking the law and it is backed up by their terms and conditions. So, they basically legally scammed people online and it is wrong. In case this happens, customers should be *********** a refund to purchase tickets in the right currency. There is a flaw in their system and should be kept accountable, not the customers. They should follow the law.

    This bus service is nothing I can recommend.The promised WiFi is non existing and both ways from ** to *** and return it was almost delayed an hour.The toilet is not a visit worth it and the destination in *** is just a sidewalk in a. It very nice neighborhood.My last trip with mega bus, definitely.

    Megabus is the worst bus service I've ever used. Our bus to ******** (from *********) broke down resulting in a three hour delay that caused ** to miss our show (which was the sole reason we were going to ********). And the only compensation they offered was redemption codes for another trip with them which is a waste because I will never be using their service again. I tried asking for a refund twice for our one way tickets but they refused. Do not use this bus service, it is a scam.

    Unfortunately, you were provided a credit for the full amount paid for travel from BAL-NEW, due to the Bus Delay. 

    Regretably, since service was provided to ********, we are unable to provide a Refund verses a Redemption Code that was provided. 

    In addition, we are unable to provide you a full Refund for the ************** cost of $59.98, as the exchange did not differ from the original amount paid for travel in which service was provided to the final Destination. 

    Due to the issue of you having to change the tickets for a later service, we will only be able to refund you the amount for the amendment fee charged ($7.50 and $7.00) for the agent amending your ticket.
