My daughter, a recent graduate from ******************, signed a 6 month lease along with her roommates at an apartment complex managed by Oxford Realty. They were explicit that they only needed the apartment for 6 months and were charged a short term lease fee and higher rent. The management company sent them a renewal notice less than 30 days before their lease was up and they responded that they would not be renewing, which was already stated the moment they signed the lease and paid the short term lease fee. The company now has charged them a full months rent and sent the amount due to collections. We have had several communications and the company is rude and unwilling to discuss any concession.

On the lease that was signed it states that we must receive a full calendar month written notice prior to their vacating the premises. The tenant provided less than 30-day notice. They were not charged a higher rent due to a 6-month lease term. When choosing a short-term lease there is an administration fee, which they were advised of before signing any documents.

If you would like for me to forward any documents, please let me know.

    Thank You,

Me and my boyfriend moved in not too long ago, (3 months ago) & since the beginning the landlord has been giving us such a terrible time on our rent it doesnt even make sense, our bills are starting to get backed up because of this. He has constantly manipulated the situation every time. In the beginning he told us & deliberately came to us to tell us we had a month free, we were so happy. & we even took down notes on his behalf just to make sure we can endulge on our budget more, the end of the month comes and he basically tells us he never said that. After back and fourth he ended up setting us up with a measly payment plan, & ended up backing us up on rent. This is is just the surface level of our problems, this is me and my boyfriends first apartment and were so stressed as is because of this, I hate to blame and Ill take ownership but this is the root to our problems and we really need help. Its just me and my boyfriend with no financial help.

I visited a friend in the apartment complex. There are no signs posted anywhere through out the complex that stated assigned parking and car will be towed. Visited a friend on 4/3. Came outside to a surprise with my car towed. My friend and I had to drive to the main office to obtain information about my car and the tow company and number. This cost me $380

(*************) I was experiencing problems with my hot water for several months. Spoke to directly **** on 6/19 and she advised that she'd have someone call the plumber, then I heard nothing else before my hot water went out again on 7/1. Maintenance said at that time that they'd reached out to the plumber, but didn't know when he would be in. They then entered my apartment without notice on 7/5 (which is against state law), didn't leave any description of maintenance performed, left a mess on my kitchen floor of plastic, cardboard, paper, and screws, downgraded my thermostat, and left several handfuls of f**** covered toilet paper in my bathroom trash. When contacting the main office on 7/6, Dallys asked for a written complaint. I had to follow up on 7/8 to confirm the email was received in the first place and have heard nothing since. When trying to get in touch with a supervisor today (7/15), the receptionist transfered me to 911.
