I purchased a ******* fridge in 2019. The fridge is out of warranty, except ******* still provides warranty coverage for the ice maker. I called ******* on 3 May 2024. Reported 4 issues : water dispenser not working, control panel on middle drawer not functional, ice maker leaking, and the freezer light not working. Ticket issued by ******* and referred to Home Services Network (HSN). I spoke with ***, told them the things that weren't working on the fridge. HSN dispatched a tech to repair a week later. Tech did not show up. I called and rescheduled another week later. Tech showed up but said he could only fix the ice maker. I said main problem I wanted fixed was the water dispenser. Sorry, he said. He fixed ice maker. Tech was pleasant/professional. I called HSN back. *** said they could only fix one thing at a time, and the other work wasn't covered under warranty. They directed me to *******. Called ******* back and told them the problems again. ******* told me their system could only track one problem at a time. ******* updated the ticket and sent me back to ***. HSN said I would be charged $120 for a diagnostic fee plus parts and labor. I have a written diagnosis on the fridge from HSN and asked why I was being charged for a show up fee when they didn't fix the problems the second time (1st time, they didn't show). They said tough, we don't care if there is a diagnosis given to me by them and that I needed to pay the $120. So today, tech was supposed to be here between 12-6p. Tech shows up at 6:15p - and I ask whether he has the parts to fix the things wrong with the fridge. He says no. (not his fault, this is HSN and *******) Only the water dispenser. So - each time these folks come to your house to fix something, they'll charge you $120 and they will only fix one time at a time. This is fleecing the consumer and shameful.

So I'm pretty sure I was a victim of predatory lending. I applied for a loan, was approved, made an offer on my house, it was accepted (Jul 29). Submitted additional documents to the lending officer as she requested and played the waiting game. I had a closing date of September 9, this was extended until September 26, then October 3. One week before October 3, I get a call from my realtor asking if I spoke with my lender. I had not, she let me know that I no longer qualify for the Time to own mortgage program in the *********** because I make too much money, and my mortgage will be increasing. I'm shocked and wait to hear from my lending officer who is now on vacation, but I am being sent documents to sign. After doing my own calculations my mortgage would go up by $400. At this point the seller is not signing another extension and I'm being told if I don't go along with the mortgage that I'll lose my 5k deposit. I should note, I'm about 7 month pregnant as well, with two older children to boot. I explain that I don't feel comfortable with the payments and ill fight it out in court over the deposit if i have to. The realtor makes a deal with the seller they go down 10k on the house but my mortgage payment only adjust by $80. I ask the lender what happens if I can't make the payment she states, can't you have the babies dad help you?. i should've walked away but didn't. I agree and then the dragging of the feet start, only October 14, I was suppose to close, drove to my lawyers office just to be told the paperwork is incorrect. Had to call the District Manager to get them to handle things and get my mortgage closed. they gave me 1k in gift cards after I closed as an apology. I went on maternity leave all the programs my lender told me about don't exist at the company they sold my mortgage too. I'm behind 5 months and I'm about to go into foreclosure. The lender no longer works at the company, feels like predatory lending.
