I hired this contractor who began the project Feb 16th 2024. It is a kitchen renovation. We have used this contractor twice already for other projects and have never had a problem. A week after the project began and the day after paying a second payment, the contractor disappeared and gave me a story that his daughter was having a major medical issue. I was understanding and patient for 6 weeks with almost no communication. The contractor left my house with unsafe wiring sticking out, a mis tiled wall, wood materials in my garage and a less than ideal kitchen with no doors on cabinets. After many stories I have been given about his wherabouts and his dedication to my project, he showed up last week 4/15 reassuring me things would now go smoothly. He sent a crew member for 3 days which was last Thursday 4/18. He has gone unreachable again, I do not have a single task on the contract list completed and he is not responding to any messages. His secretary does not answer either. At this point, he has completely ruined our kitchen, we have cabinet doors laying in our living room and electric sticking out of the walls.

I cannot get this guy to provide his Tax ID # or his Certificate of Insurance as promised. He did exterior trim at my home in Harding, NJ and the trim is buckling, in addition he left nails and screws all over the yard and on the roof although he promised to come back and clean them up. The nails have blown off the roof and I have gotten 2 nails in my tires on my vehicles and recently had to replace my tires on my SUV because the nails were in the sidewall of tire and could not be repaired. He also charged me 50% more of his original proposal although he cannot justify why and unfortunately I paid him because he was supposed to come back and do more work. Now I have to have someone else come fix the trim! I also had him do work at my beach house in Brick prior to this project and while he did a better job there I'm also having a problem with the trim he did on the exterior of the home.
