On January 15,2024, Jersey Shore Movers moved our possessions for the second time in five years. This time the person they sent to move my grandfathers clock did not tie the chains properly and they came off. They said they would pay to have it professionally repaired. I paid the repair man they sent because he said he had trouble getting paid in the past. I sent the paid receipt to the moving company and have not been reimbursed despite calls and emails. The repair cost over $190.

We just spoke to the customer and have apologized for the miscommunication.  We had some internal employee changes and did not realize this was an open claim.  We are taking care of it immediately.

On 4/6/23, *********************** received an in-home estimate by our lead estimator, **** at his residence in New Jersey. ****** was presented a quote the same day, and he agreed to the terms and conditions, and was made aware if he were to add more, or take away, from his move, that the price would adjust.****** was then scheduled for the extraction of his items on 4/25/23, which he agreed to. He was made aware of the delivery spread, and that he would receive his shipment within those dates. He was already demanding to be delivered on a certain date, and as we are always super accommodating with our customers,we did let ****** know we will do our absolute best to ensure delivery is on or around the date he was requesting. He was given a delivery date to ************** for 4/27/23, which he agreed to. About a few days prior to the extraction date, ****** called in very irate, demanding he wants his items to be picked up on 4/24/23, we explained to him that since he already agreed to the original date of 4/25/23, we did not have the availability on 4/24/23, as we were already booked. ****** then became very verbally abusive to the estimator &our office staff via phone. He began using slander and curse words, and verbal threats. ****** also then changed the dynamics of his move. He added more packing, and packing materials, which raised the price slightly. He also became very irate with this as well and said, I will not pay a ***** more, although he was aware had he made any changes, the price would be affected. On the day of ******* pick-up, he was not present for this, his daughter was. When our team of movers called ******, to go over the move, see what he wanted to be packed, loaded in truck first, etc, he then became very verbally abusive to our movers via phone. He was threatening them and cursing and demanding his items be delivered the following day. As our movers then began to do a walk through, it was determined ******* residence was not deemed safe for our crew to be in, as there were piles of trash, dirt, and animal fur throughout the residence. Despite our many efforts to work with ******, & accommodate his wishes to have his move completed, we did not receive any effort back from him, so that we could work together. ****** did not fire Jersey Shore Moving & **** we had made the executive decision that it was not safe for our crew to be there or to deliver to his new home, as the threats from ****** began to get more intense, and we could not subject our employees to such an imperilment. At this time, we had no choice but to call off this shipment.

I am rejecting this response because the issue was the rolling  tool boxes they have neglected to respond about. The tool boxes were deemed to be too heavy and they tried to extort $3000 more.due to weight of things already viewed  and estimated without any additional weight being added. The mover refused to move my firearms and ammunition, so i decided to move the entire gun safe myself  the final move was actually less items than the original contract .  I will admit i was not happy with the attitude of the movers or their office due to their smug attitude on the phone, including the remark is you have to pay the money if you have to be out. They purposely delayed the move as they new i had to be in another state the day they picked up the stuff.  I did agree to extra packing charges of wardrobe boxes and boxes for the televisions being moved
