I bought a Sharp cd/ cassette player model #QTCD290BL; serial # ******** through ****** in March 2024. Sharp advertised that there was a one-year warranty on parts and labor. The cassette player stopped working recently. The period had run out to return the player through ******. Because in March 2024 there was a one year warranty on parts and labor, I called Sharp and was eventually routed to **** and then to ***** in customer service and then to the specialty ***** I was told by all parties that they could not repair or replace this item because they no longer make this item or the parts to repair it. I told them that they should replace it with a comparable item since I was still within the one year warranty period. I was told that they could not and would not replace it. Can The Better Business Bureau contact The Sharp Company to honor their advertised warranty and replace this cassette/cd player. Please respond with any information that you find out to resolve my complaint with Sharp. I am disabled and living on a Social Security fixed income and I cannot afford to purchase another cassette/cd player. Thanks!!!

I purchased a Sharp Ruovo V cell phone seven months ago. It started malfunctioning two months later. I have called Sharp three times and they will only transfer me to ******** my carrier. ******* conducted a conference call with a Sharp *** and myself. When the ******* *** tried to tell the Sharp *** that the issue was with the device and not ******** the Sharp *** hung up on us.The phone frequently freezes and I have to restart it at least three times a day. Sometimes it will not allow me to answer a phone call. It takes all day to charge and has even run down my car battery. This is an unacceptable situation and Sharp refuses to help me.

I purchased Sharp countertop microwave model SMC0912BS, and here is my horrible experience with the product and the company. DO NOT buy this microwave! It is a lemon and DANGEROUS to use! After year and half microwave started acting the least to say bizarre. It would suddenly start working on its own, heating and rotating, without anyone pressing any buttons or even coming close to it. And none of the buttons would work. We could not stop the machine, only if we unplug it from the outlet. When I contacted Sharp customer service, they said to stop using it immediately, unplug from the wall and take it to hazardous recycling center. They sounded like the machine was dangerous to use. Sharp sent a replacement, obligated by warranty, exact same model. Please keep in mind that representative was US based, spoke English that I could understand, and was polite. However, after about same time period the new machine started doing exactly the same. This time when I called Sharp customer service, I got a rep from somewhere in ***** with broken English and very little desire to help. He would place me on long holds, keep transferring me to extension where nobody would ever pick up and at the end promised that somebody would call me withing 48 hours. No one called me for a week. I called 4 times, and every time was given false promisses and the same game would happen with placing me on hold, transferring to a dead-end line and promisse someone will call me. Finally, on the fifth time when I asked for a manager and been placed on hold again, ******* said, " There is nothing we will do for you, so stop calling."This company produces dangerous household products and absolutely doesn't take responsibility for it.I only deal with the issues about this microwave, but I want to warn anyone that considering buying any Sharp product. If your Sharp product will have issues, this is the customer service you will deal with. I will never ever buy anything from Sharp!

We purchased a drawer microwave back in January 2021 - It was made in October 2020. In less than a year the control panel stopped working. We researched and found the part on line that we needed. We ordered it and when it came in the part looked exactly the same except for the connection, we couldn't use it. We called several places and explained the issue and were told they have the correct part - ordered again from another company and again it was wrong. We reached out to SHARP to see if they could tell us the correct part -as they built this during the pandemic, so they may have used temporary parts. 15 emails later and they are still not able to answer - it's called a "technical part" but they can't tell me where to purchase it. Then was told the Office of the President would reach out - and I never received a response. This morning I was told if I contacted a technician and they called SHARP then they would be told the part I needed - but they can't tell me the part. We paid almost $1,300 for this microwave that lasted less than a year - and not one person at SHARP has been willing or able to assist us in fixing this - unless we want to spend $600 on a technician - and then the part which is $238 - and they won't tell us the part. I understand that things break - but at least they should assist with identifying parts they used.

HORRIBLE and unacceptable My 6 week old microwave drawer oven is not working properly. I spent an hour on the phone with their overseas call center. Now via email they say the do not have my case# or phone # on file so I am forced to call 800 number. But now after following all the prompts my call is dropped. This is very unprofessional and I need help to resolve this.

Sharp Corporation has continued to give my number out to their customers as a repair service tech. I am not a repair person and have called Sharp Corporation at least TWENTY times over the past year and a half letting them know I am not a service tech and to please remove my number. I have spoken with multiple managers and I am always told they are elevating this to have my number removed. But I continue to receive new calls continually from people who just recently received my number from Sharp. I threatened Sharp many months ago that I would file a complaint with the BBB and was assured by a manager that my number had been removed. Just this week, I have received multiple new calls and texts from people who just got my number from Sharp. GET IT TOGETHER SHARP AND FIX THIS!!

Purchased Sharp microwave oven model Smc1131C October 2020. November 2021 unit began sparking while cooking. Reported issue to Sharp who replaced with same model. Replacement was manufactured April 2021 and received December 16 2021. On August 10 2022 the problem happened- sparking inside near the waveguide cover. Reported problem to Sharp. Informed today that unit was out of warranty (time started at purchase of original unit) and was offered to purchase a different model for about $100. This issue happened with 2 units of the same model. The issue - sparking- has the potential to cause property and bodily harm. Also, starting warranty period with the original unit instead of replacement date is wrong. I am very disappointed and surprised with Sharps response given it is the 2nd time a hazardous issue happened with the same model. Sharp should be taking steps to address this issue to protect their customers. Also, this particular customer expected a ********************** product to operate safely no matter the warranty period. Did not expect to have to buy another microwave after 8 months of use. Extremely unsatisfactory response. Beware of Sharp microwaves.

I was watching TV on Sunday, 06/12/22 and my 65 Sharp ******* model LC-65Q7300U changed to a black screen with the Sharp logo flashing for a second then back to black. The red light is solid except when the Sharp Roku logo flashes the red light flashes for a split second. I unplugged then plugged back in, no resolution. I pressed the reset button, no resolution. I tested the **** cord and it is fine. I tried the information on the internet that stated to press home five times, up once, rewind twice, fast forward twice on the remote with no resolution. I have only had my TV for 3 years. This is a known issue on the internet, on the Better Business Bureaus site and when I called Sharp the representative also said that she has heard of this issue as well. I got the canned response that it is out of warranty. I don't care if it is out of warranty, Sharp needs to stand by their product and fix or replace my TV. It is disgusting that they do not stand by their products! Especially a three year old TV.

    Sharp Electronics Corp Response

    06/23/2022

Hello,We are sorry to hear that you are having an issue with your television. The ** model that you mentioned was manufactured and sold by Hisense, presumptively through Hisense USA Corporation, a subsidiary of Hisense Corporation (collectively, Hisense). In July 2015, Sharp Corporation announced that it had agreed to enter into a trademark license agreement which would license the ********************** brand to be used by Hisense in connection with the manufacture and sale of consumer ** products in ********************************. This transaction closed in January of 2016 and the deal was widely publicized. HISENSE USA ****************************************************************************** ************

    Customer Response

    06/23/2022

Per my original post, I did contact customer support at ************** and spoke with three different representative along with a supervisor and manager because your company does not stand by their product. This is a known issue that should have been recalled. I told the Hisense manager to send me an email of why they are not going to pay to have my TV fixed or replaced. I got a canned email that stated "Thank you for contacting Sharp Customer Support.Regrettably, your ********************************** is out of warranty and as such we are unable to complete any repairs. Please bear in mind that your television came with a one (1) year warranty starting from your date of purchase. We suggest contacting a local technician or electronic store for repairs. If you had purchased an extended warranty with your place of purchase, you may speak with them regarding your extended warranty. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Your incident number is H777652."They apologize but yet did nothing to resolve this known issue. Your company should be ashamed of yourselves!
