i registered for an online class in 2020, which Rutgers advertise as 100% online no in-person, when i got the syllabus, it stated you have to come to ************* to to take a mid-term and final. I tried to work with the professor, because i really wanted to take this course, I would have to come to ************* on march 13, 2020 in the morning. I explained to the professor i worked 8am-4pm mon-fri and what she is asking qualifies for ahybrid course. The catalog listed this class as online. I had to drop this hybrid class because Rutgers breached the contract and also promoted false advertisement. Rutgers is trying to garnish my wages because i couldn't attend this hybrid class. i want to know how can a class be advertised as an ONLINE course and the professor can make it hybrid and i am being penalized for this. I feel this is a breach of contract and false advertisement and i am going to seek a lawyer for compensation.

The complaint claims that a course offered by Rutgers University was advertised as fully online, but in fact the professor required students to come to campus for midterm and final exams. While the complaint has been addressed to the *************** of ********* (GSE) at Rutgers University, ************* campus, our records indicate that the specific course that is being disputed is not a course that was offered by GSE. Our records indicate the course in question was a Psychology course offered by another academic unit at Rutgers over which we have no jurisdiction.
