I brought a car from this dealership 2011 ********** Jetta with a 30 day warranty while under warranty the cars transmission began to slip very badly I returned the car under warranty to the dealer for the problem to be rectified. The next day they called me back to pick up the car saying they couldnt find anything and only hooked it up to their car scanner. No mechanic or any one with the proper knowledge looked at the car just them and their scanner. Now my warrant has expired and the same problem exist. Over the phone they told me it was nothing they can do now. Since they didnt take the proper step to fix my problem under warranty I am looking for a solution to fix my cars transmission.Business response

Hello, sorry to hear about your trouble with the vehicle. Unfortunately, our 30 day warranty covers motor and transmission only. If there was an issue with the clutch, which is a wear and tear item just like your break pad, linings or your tires, that needed to be addressed before you purchased a vehicle with a pre-purchase inspection or notification during the test drive. As that issue did not exist during the test drive or not identified by pre-purchase inspection, we have to assume that the clutch was burned due to improper use after the purchase date, when it comes to wear and tear items on the vehicle, such as tires and brakes, once the vehicle is sold, it is the responsibility of the owner to maintain and service those items. I hope this helps you understand why the warranty does not extend to the clutch .Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
How can we assume its the clutch thats the problem when you guys said you couldnt find out whats wrong when I brought it back to you guys? Isnt there a possibility you sold a car with a slipping or bad transmission and that should be covers by warranty. And when i returned it to you guys I expected you to go through the proper protocol with a mechanic not just your scanner and trying to shift into different gears. The cars transmission slips when hot. If it was the clutch why wasnt that relayed to me after I brought it back. You only said you couldnt find a problem but you responded to this complain saying it the clutch. I shouldve left the car their until you found the problem it seems like.

I purchased and financed a car on Monday, May 15th and after having the car inspected after several issues with the car, I attempted to return the car for a refund on Wed, May 17th. But the Manager falsely informed me that they had a no return policy and that they would like to fix the car. But after rereading the contract, it states that I have a 30 day window to return the car as long as no claims have been made on the vehicle which none have. I just want to return the car and get my money back and take my business elsewhere. I asked them again if this was a simple mistake on the managers end via the text helpline and they doubled down with the statement that they have a no return policy.Business response

Hello. As we have explained before, we do not accept returns. There is no 30 day return policy that you are referring to. Some national businesses that have ****s of cars and hundreds of locations offer a 3 day return policy priced into the sale of the car. We do not offer, nor did we ever express that there is any type of return policy or option offered. It is the buyers option and responsibility to perform any and all inspections before signing any contracts. Once a contract is signed and entered into, it is binding and lawful. You can not cancel a contract unless there is a forfeiture of vehicle and all deposits and subsequently a derogatory credit report event recorded on your file which will make it impossible to secure credit in the foreseeable future. You can choose to also sell the vehicle and use the proceeds to payoff the loan you obtained. There is no cool off period when purchasing a vehicle and there are consequences to unwinding a contract you willfully entered into.Initial Complaint

I purchased a car from UA auto Dec 2018 The contract was changed and my signature was forged. I never signed anything electronically. There are several different **************** reflect different figures. None that make sense. *** tried to explain the errors for corrections no person from UA auto nor the finance company Credit Acceptance wants to accept responsibility. Both companies have left me with no Answers or options for the problem to be rectified. My car is paid for technically however Im still set to pay another $11,000 which is preposterous! This is beyond stressful to be left in the dark. I understand humans make mistakes however this is a VERY costly error. Again UA Auto said its not their responsibility to fix or change *************** Acceptance told me to communicate with the dealer. How can a large error be ignored by both entities financial departments all missed 22.99% of $16,000 can not be $11,000 Never! To pay back the amount @ the rate wouldve been about $19,868 in the ball park. $27,000 plus ***** was listed in the description but appears to be added as a deposit is added multiple times. I never signed the contract making payments to 60 months the Original agreement was 36 months. Ive paid more than $20,000 with my deposit & payments. The car is paid off. Im constantly hung up on or placed on long holds by both companies. I feel their ******************* are to set customers up to fail. My daughter has been assisting me in this difficult process because Im beyond frustrated. I cant sleep worried Im going to loose my car. My livelyhood would be disconnected.Business response

Hello, we use credit acceptance for our sub prime loans when no other bank will offer our customer a loan. Credit acceptance covers their risk exposure on high risk loans by charging higher than normal rates and shorting advances to dealers, thus resulting in high down payment requirements and high repay amount due to the high interest rate. It is up to the consumer to educate themselves on financial reasonability and how purchase decisions may impact your lifestyle. There are no penalties or fees for early payoff/pay down. All loans are front end loaded and the larger portion of the loan payments go toward interest. UA Auto Sales does not receive any of the interest you pay the financial institution with whom you are contracted. You may ask for assistance with financial hardships if the finance ** offers any. You may also reach out to a debt consolidation firm to assist with financial planning and consolidation. We are not able to change the terms of the loan after it is contracted and can not move the monthly contract term with out changing the monthly payment amount. If you chose ************************************************************************************ half. Unlike a lease where a shorter term may only go up a little, your payment would've doubled if the term was cut in half. I hope this helps you understand better about high interest rates and sub prime financing. A** your score improves, you will qualify for lower rates and higher ltv's. Any defaults on current loans will impact your ability to qualify for prime rate loans in the future. Please consider all of these factors return making any financial decision.Initial Complaint
