    To whom it may concern:

    In regards to the registration, there was a delay in receiving the title from the auction.  We have received it, and it is in process in ** being taken care of.  This is an unfortunate delay.  We told the customer of it.  We are sorry for the inconvenience.  There is no maliciousness on our part. It was just a situation where there was an issue receiving the title from auction in a timely manner.  As soon as the license plates are done, we will ***** them to the customer ASAP.

    Sincerely,

    I purchased a 2016 Audi A6 from this dealership in 2022 with gap insurance. Unfortunately, the car was rendered a total loss in February 2024. My insurance company NJM has paid their valuation of the vehicle t TD Auto Finance and TD Auto Finance has sent in the required paperwork to the gap insurance company they have on record. I have tried also to make contact with the gap insurance company. I still have an outstanding balance on this car, which I am sure is impacting/will impact my credit. I want this dealership since I purchased the care from them to intervene and get this resolved as I purchased the gap insurance from them at the time of purchase.

    We received the BBB letter re: ********************* ID #**************.

    We reviewed the deal for the 2016 Audi. The customer did purchase *** coverage. The customer NEVER notified US that the vehicle was a total loss, Once a customer notifies the dealership of the total loss of a vehicle we have paperwork that gets completed and forwarded to the third party insurance company for them to process and payout the *** coverage available for the vehicle.

    We have forwarded the BBB letter to the third party insurance company who as of yesterday is in the process of getting the ************* claim processed and will handle directly with  the customers auto finance company (TD BANK)

    Thank you

    I bought a 2019 f150 with 41k miles from this place, and since ive had it its been a major headache! Before i had the plates for the truck the A/C was broken and radio issues! It took me about ***** hours of my time, and 3months of countess phone calls, and no calls back just to fix the A/c, and they never fixed the radio, and its now costing me over 1600$ to fix the radio. my extended ************ asked a dozen times to get it switched to ***** not a 3rd party warrenty company, and they wont! The 3rd party warrenty company only works with this dealership. I asked them when i took out the warrenty if it is good anytwhere and they said yes, cause i told them i live an hour away! Ive only had the truck since july, and these are my endless issues! Whats the next 5-10years gonna bring? And i know my exhust tip is dripping oil, so i know this is gonna be a new issue starting

    I purchased a **** F-150 Raptor from Liccardi Ford on September 16th, 2023. I negotiated an out-the-door/all-in price of $81,500 (paid cash). This included various fees and taxes but the distribution of the amounts were irrelevant as I negotiated on the all-in price.I received temporary tags when leaving the dealer that expired on October 15th. I was told by the dealership that I need to get an inspection done in ** so that they could get me the permanent tags. I took time off work and immediately got the inspection done Monday September 18th and overnighted the inspection report so they could mail the application to the ** DMV.Several weeks went by and I kept asking for updates on the plates. They said that they've done everything they can and sometimes it just takes time. This back and forth went on for weeks. With only several days remaining on my temporary tags, I was contacted by Liccardi telling me that they "miscalculated" taxes and that I owed an additional $1200 or they wouldn't be able to give me my permanent tags. I told them I negotiated an all-in price and they said there's nothing they can do and unless I give them the money, they couldn't get tags from the ** DMV because the taxes are short. I told Liccardi to use the money I paid for the truck and they said they could not do that.I went back and forth for a couple of days on this, and realizing that I would be liable for tickets if I had expired tags, I paid the additional money (ended up being $931.50 as I caught them "miscalculating" the "miscalculation").I told them this was extortion and I'll be filing a complaint with the BBB. I should not be liable for any additional money than what was listed in the contract and it's very possible they purposely understated the taxes so they could charge me more for the vehicle and force me to pay the additional sum as I would not be allowed to drive with expired tags. Lastly, other people need to be aware of this fraudulent behavior.

     To whom it may concern;

    ***************************** did purchase a vehicle from **, and he owed the ******************** an amount of $1,200 additional for the sales tax. *********** charges a sales tax of **** % but anything over a certain plateau they charge ****% which is a higher sales tax. Our sales tax is always an estimate. If we ever collect too much for tax we refund the money back and if we collect too little the customer understands that we have to collect the difference. The customer had to pay a balance of $931.50 to help with the situation. That was how this issue came about. If you need to contact me, my name is *************************, and I am the general sales manager here at Liccardi Ford ******** I can be reached at ********************. Thank you.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    Claiming that taxes are an "estimate" when negotiating an out-the-door price is a dishonest practice and puts consumers at risk. Liccardi could have lowered the car price to honor the contract price, but instead, forced me into paying more than the contract amount. This tactic allows Liccardi to sell cars at whatever price they choose and then force consumers to pay more than the contract amount by leveraging state laws against them.

    In *****************, if businesses do not collect the right amount of taxes on goods sold, the business is liable, not the consumer. The only reason Liccardi gets away with this is because they held my tags hostage until I paid the additional amount.

    Finally, Liccardi lied about the amount of taxes owed. They initially claimed I owed an additional $1200, but after going through the numbers with them, it was just over $900.

    Regards,
