This entire franchise is a massive scam, my wife bought me 2 necklaces from here that were stated to be 14k gold and after testing both necklaces they were both thickly plated copper, the least expensive metal. The fact the plate was so thick shows a serious intent to scam people. I called the storefront and ask them for my purchase history while recording the phone call and they seemed to be weirded out that I asked for my purchase history and said their system was down and they’re switch to a new one then started to ask me a bunch of questions. I am a special forces military veteran with many connections in the police and military, I am officially starting a class action lawsuit against this company and their fraudulent acts. Google Joseph Jacob Jewelers Scam and youll see over 30 complaints of people saying they were sold fake diamonds or gold. They think becuase they’re a big company they can scam and get away with it. I have a long time friend for an attorney who is a top criminal law attorney in NY/NJ who has agreed to take the case, I have phone calls of this company trying to cover it up and begging me not to file a police report, which I already have. I have verified testing from another jeweler confirming all of this and a certified statement with that jeweler and he is willing to join the lawsuit. If you were scammed by this disgusting company please message me to join the case, I already have 8 other people I have reached out to based on their reviews to ask for evidence and to join my case.

11/18/23 I picked up bracelet that was suppose to have 2 links removed to make a pair of earrings.I had consult with jeweler 11/08-with the understanding that 2 links would be removed, one of which was missing a diamond-the other having 2 diamonds. The pair. would be asymmetrical. The quote for this was $180.ON 11/15 I went back to drop off the bracelet for alteration-jeweler remembered me and briefly recounted what I wanted-made notes on envelope receipt and stapled to business card. After leaving in my card noticed a price difference and tried to call the number on the card-number was not in service.i also tried calling from landline, also not in service. When I picked up bracelet, the alteration was not complete-only 1 earring was made from the bracelet, that is why I was charged only $120.I mentioned, the jeweler said that was what was noted and if I wanted the other earring I would be charged an additional $180.I reminded him off the discussion from the previous week-he waved it off and said that was last week this(pointed to the earring)is what was done.I did email *** but have yet to get response. This seems like a scam to cheat customers as the original price was lower than other jewelers initially, and then to not complete the alteration and try to re-charge to complete the work.Id have been fine if he acknowledged the misunderstanding and honored the original quote by charging an additional $60,but the jeweler just wanted to charge another$180 for what should have been done originally. The original receipt with notes were not given to me.
